Oh Jen I AM glad E is home!! Lots of R and R now xx
Well we have had a largely dry day after 48 hours of constant rain! It's even been sunny for a spell!! And not too cold....my heating hasn't clicked on so it must be mild! he seaside called, so after a lazy start to the day, we headed down to Crimdon, probably the nearest beach to us, for a stroll along. We saw some paragliders coasting along, it looked great fun but I imagine you'd need to be really fit to do it! And there was a fret, or a mist on the beach but not everywhere, so some people walking along looked like ghostly Lowry figures....I didn't have my phone or would have taken some pics - so pretty.
After we drove along to Hartlepool Marina for a coffee and then back home. I've been pottering about the house since, making the bed up with fresh linen and having a couple of loads of washing to put through. During early lockdown I made a cardboard heart with twigs found on walks, and then painted it white. I finally finnished it the other day and hung it up with Command strips as advised, but it's only been up since Thursday and today it fell off the wall!!
I have thrown it in the bin as most of the twigs had come off and tbh they weren't sticking on too well to begin with. I think I made it too big as it was about 3 feet across. Ah well....
I put some beef chunks in the slow cooker and we've just had them with mash, kale, broccoli and carrots, it was fab! Might have some ice cream later.
Hope you all have a good evening xx
