Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 16 Oct 2020, 04:50

Good morning.

Warm and sunny.

Off for a walk and I'll have a swim around noon. The way the weather's going I'll be using the pool till the end of October. :D

Pootling and nail painting then I have two private students at work 4.30 - 6.30.

Meeting Don when I finish for Friday beers and tapas.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

By 'eck, that's cold this morning  But the sun is out and it will warm up nicely later 8-)

A quiet day, once our visitors have gone. They need to get back to Fuzeta and sort something out in office hours, so will head off later this morning.

Dinner went well, and a fair amount of alcohol was consumed   and I've just done the washing up - no way on earth would I be trusted with glasses last night

Something nice and simple for dinner tonight ;)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning you two, morning everyone

Ally, still jealous of your weather
Jan it's really nippy here now as well - night time temperatures are in single figures and day time highs are closer to 10 than to 15. I really need to get the heating sorted; at the moment I only have two radiators - one in the dining area and one in the lounge. I used to have one in the bathroom and hallway but they both went when I did the kitchen refurb. The bathroom one is being replaced with an electric one and the hallway one was too big / wrong shape - so needs to be replaced with something more suitable. But now that I'm working from home and will be until early next year if not longer (ie throughout winter) I definitely want to be comfy. Primark sell fleece lined leggings so I may well invest in some of those :D :D :D

Another day of general working and pootling and general sorting out for me

have a lovely day all - stay safe xxx

Like the sound of those leggings Ria, I must investigate!

Good morning all, it’s quite dull and cool here. The washing machine’s on the go, Bill’s had his walk and will probably have another after lunch, weather depending. Joe will be home around 1ish as they finish early on Fridays.

Have a good day all :)

Morning all :D

Dull with drizzle here :(

Shame you can't send some sunshine here Ally.
Glad you've had a nice time with your visitors Jan.
I have a lovely pair of fleece trousers I bought in M&S a few years ago Ria, smart enough to wear out, wouldn't be without them in the winter.

Stripped the bed and the sheets are in the washing machine. Got another couple of loads to do, after I've done that and remade the bed I'll need a sit down

Hope you all have a good day :D

Afternoon everyone :)

I've been on a long walk into town, up to D's, then home again. I needed some new tea towels after someone accidentally put a yellow duster in with my nice red and white ones - it might just have been me :P   I got some in Primark, and also have started the Christmas shopping, just stocking fillers........;)

Becky has some of those fleece-lined leggings, they are very warm and comfy apparently 8-) :)

Love to all xxx

Good afternoon everybody.

After parking the car I was walking to the bank to pay another cheque formthe Premium Bonds we hold. I had just stepped onto the pavement after
crossing the road when I fell forward. As I was wearing a face visor My face did not come into contact with the flags. Have a small cut on my left thumb
and a similar graze on the back of my right hand. Two council workmen who were working nearby and two ladies came to help me. I stayed lying on the pavement
until I felt I could stand up. The two men helped me up. I stood still for several minutes before walking slowly to the bank. One of the ladies gave
me a wipe to clean my hands. Took it very slowly walking and driving home. I have been lucky.
Had a long rest after lunch.
Now just pootling. The new carpet in the bathroom and toilet which was fitted yesterday looks and feels good when we walk on it. Had top grade
underlay fitted and you seem to bounce as you walk onit. Well worth the money.
Have a good day everybody
