Good Morning Saturday

Postby JanB » 17 Oct 2020, 06:33

Morning everyone

Cold out there, but warming up as the sun comes out to play. An warmer at night from tomorrow too, thankfully.

Grumpy will be finishing of the hen house and we'll take it to Jan's. Then onto Ourique, to get the bits we couldn't on Wednesday.

Back to attach those lumps in the "lawn" before we get rain next week.

Curry for dinner, with naan and poppadoms :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s nice and bright out there. Today is Edward’s birthday so we had a nice celebratory breakfast - I popped into the pub deli next door to get sausage and rasher sandwiches, croissants and pains au chocolate, very nice it all was too. He is now busy making himself a birthday cake, I wanted to but he has a recipe he wants to try. Kellie thinks it is disgraceful that he is making his own cake  She, Michael and Miss Osc will call later for some of said cake. 72 - how did that happen

Morning you two, morning everyone

Happy birthday to Edward Osc, hope you have a lovely day with the family. Looking forward to the cake verdict - what type is it?

Jan Hope you manage to get the missing bits; frustrating when you have to make two trips.... and enjoy the curry tonight.

Overcast today and rather grey and dull; but no rain (for now). I'm about to head to Sainsbury's to get a few bits and bobs. If I go today then I can have a quiet day in tomorrow. Meeting up with a friend for lunch today. She's coming down at 2pm and we've got a table booked for 3pm; making sure we see each other just in case the London lockdown is extended to her area (or even where I live). She lives in Kingston so just outside London but is worried they're going to widen the area.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all it's nice at the moment
Waiting for Scarlett to arrive and a Iceland delivery
Just had to laugh
I'm changing my broadband and phone from post office
If just had a grovelling letter from them
Saying they will miss me
Shame they only ever send me letters to say my bill is going up and also close my local post office
Have a good day all

Morning all........almost

Rain overnight, dry but very dull now.

Happy Birthday to Edward, hope he has a great day Osc.
Hope you get all the bits you need in Ourique Jan.
Have a nice lunch with your friend Ria.
Saundra enjoy your day with Scarlett.

Not much happening here, will try to get out in the garden to pick up all the palm tree leaves. The dead ones are too high to reach, but the slightest wind and down they come, they're strewn everywhere at the moment.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it’s dull here.

I got up early to go for a run, thought I’d managed to fool Billy into thinking that I was just going downstairs (he usually stays upstairs with John until he gets up) but no, I was in the utility room putting my trainers on and he appeared behind me and then woke everyone up by registering his disgust loudly when I left, and again as he watched me run back home afterwards

We walked him on Hednesford Hills after that. John’s cleaned all of the cars since getting back and I’ve sorted washing and done some ironing. I’m now watching the clock because I’ve got an appointment for my flu jab at 2.12, I’ll walk around at ten past.

Not sure what we’re doing later, probably another walk. Shannon’s staying tonight, can’t say I’m keen on having an overnight guest at the moment but I’ve been outvoted. Saying that, she should be wary about coming here as cases are rocketing in our area :?

Enjoy your time with Scarlett!

Have a good day all and take care xx

He made a chocolate cake for my birthday last month and was very pleased with how it turned out, and he wanted to try it without the chocolate, he actually loves a simple Victoria sponge. So he added a dash of orange juice and zest, and it turned out lovely, just strawberry jam filling and sieved icing sugar on top. Kellie arrived dressed for a party, any excuse for little Miss Sparkle! She will eat cake no matter what kind, but Michael was not bothered. My sister arrived too, bringing some homemade ginger cake, so the waistline is taking a hit  I’ll be dragging myself around the 10k route tomorrow :?

Evening everyone :)

Usual Saturday here - SW meeting, Corretto's, then round to see D. Since we got back I've stripped and remade the bed, hoovered and cleaned the bedroom and ensuite, made a chilli, and am now putting my feet up 8-) :)

Happy birthday to Edward, Osc :D :Hi:
