Good morning Sunday

Merry morning and happy Sunday all

Another misty start to the day here, it's very autumnal. Up early as usual to let the chickens out; normally I'd have gone back to bed but Karl is coming round today to help with some DIY bits so I want to have everything ready for when he gets here. So now have Russel Watson blaring from the speaker (well not quite blaring because of the neighbours, but his voice needs volume ;-) ) Haven't listened to him in absolute ages and really enjoying it.

Once Karl is done I'll be doing a bit of general pootling and then making roast chicken for dinner... all in all an absolutely perfect Sunday; bliss

Hope you all have a good day x

Morning Ria, morning everyone

Cloudy now, was lovely earlier. Rain forecast :Hi:

Hope Karl can get everything done that needs doing Ria x Enjoy the roast chicken.

Only just got the lecky back on, went off quite early this morning and I was just about to ring, when the oven clock went back on. Amazing how lost you get, no internet, no kettle

Cooked breakfast for us, as a treat this morning.

Gez is coming up sometime today, to cut my hair and drink many mugs of tea  She's having to bring milk, as we don't use it often and I haven't got any

Will try and get the floors clean and dry before the rain and apart from that, a lazy day 8-)

Have as good a day as you can everyone xx

Morning all, it’s grey and misty here.

Just on the Close WhatsApp group and one of our neighbours has been reported anonymously to the police for having a visitor  The visitor is actually their son, he doesn’t live there but works for and with his Dad and the house is the business address so he has to come around for work purposes and everyone at this end of the close knows that. His van would be out of view to the rest of the close because it’s around a corner :?

No plans for today, although we’ll walk Bill shortly.

Have a good day all :)

Morning all :D

It must have rained overnight, but it's bright and sunny now 8-)

Gosh Jo, that's horrid. I understand if it's a rowdy party, a large crowd etc, but this sounds completely OTT. Some people obviously have nothing better to do other than spy on their neighbours

Yesterday managed to get the new duvet into it's cover quite well, was very pleased with myself. Little things and all that  No plans for today, roast chicken with veggies for dinner later, chocolate blancmange with orange jelly for pud.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, a dull and damp day here, but mild. We went for a walk this morning with Miss Osc and family, we did just under 6km, it was nice to spend time meandering along and chatting, don’t often get the chance to do that as they are always so busy. I suspect a nap in my chair will happen at some stage ;) It was so heartening to see the joyous celebrations in the US yesterday, it’s going to be so good to have a real family in the White House, people who love life and each other - it has been such a joyless place for the last four years.

Afternoon all :)

Ria I hope everything gets done, and I agree about RW's voice :) xxx

Oh heck Jan, no cuppa first thing would be a calamity here ;) xxx

No that's really creepy, and totally unnecessary IMO :? Unsettling to think that one of your own neighbours would act that way :? xxx

Enjoy your family lunch Crommers :) xxx

Saundra, it was moving, if a little strange this year. I did choke up a bit watching HM at the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior, wearing her mask and looking quite vulnerable I thought, God bless her :( xxx

Glad you won the battle with the duvet Jen ;) xxx

Osc, that's a fair walk! 8-) :) xxx

We popped round to put the bins out for D - one is a garden bin, quite heavy as the gardener came last week. Picked up a paper on the way home, and we've just had lamb chops and baked mediterranean veg for lunch 8-) Now watching Eat Well for Less on the iPlayer, and reading the paper. Aunty Rose rang while I was out, so I'll ring her back in a while.

Love to all xxx

Good afternoon everybody.

Went to Sainsbury's to do our weekly shop. Had not checked their opening hours. Thought it was 10.00 a.m. loke Tesco & Morrisons. But they don't
open toll 10.30 a.m. So it was back to Tesco. They have swapped the entrance & Exit doors so customers going in don't have to walk past people going in.
Much better and no congestion inside the entrance now.
Have ut the remainder of the Evening Primrose plants right down. I have six plants at the back. It means the green bin is nealy full mainly with garden refuse.

Now just pootling.
