Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 11 Nov 2020, 05:43

Good morning.

Forecast warm and sunny. We still don't need the duvet on the bed yet.....I'm itching to get any one of my IKEA sets on it.

A nice long walk this morning then work 4 - 9 covering A. I'm waiting to see if this will continue next week.......watch this space.

Home to MasterChef and a lasagne la Don. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely, sunny morning and another warm day 8-)

Still with sheet on the bed here Ally, sometimes pull the bedspread on, sometimes kick it off  Although the nights are getting colder.

Off to Ourique once I've had a coffee and showered. Pingo run and pick up the Glad bags at the chemist and back for breakfast. I'd love to get and weed on the flower beds, but we are having a lot of humidity and the ground is too wet. Might pull up some weeds from the drive. Will also spread some salt around.

Dinner? Not sure. Could be a pie, could be chicken something, with lemons and chillies, see what I feel like.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning you two, morning everyone

Duvets definitely needed here  :D  - I have my summer duvet with a blanket over; no need for the winter one yet; and if I recall I don't think I needed it last winter either. Usually I'd have my electric blanket on the bed by now but that too isn't needed yet; it's been fairly mild really

Hope work goes well Ally
Jan, hope you get all the things you need in Ourique. Chicken with lemon and chilli sounds delicious !

Usual work day for me; heading over to Karl and Nadine in a bit to have a document printed so I can courier it off and have a cuppa whilst I'm there. Shopping for some groceries on my way there.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all.
Yes, definitely duvet weather here.
In a while we are going to get a paper then go to the war memorial in Streethouse where MrsC's great uncle is among the list of those killed in WW1.
She has laminated a photo of him to put on the memorial. He was killed in action in April 1918, aged 18.
The to a local coffee and cake shop to buy some buns. It isn't what we'd normally do but they are a local business trying hard to keep going in difficult times, so we will nip round and buy something this morning.
Then back home to bake some bread.
Another grey damp day here.
Have a good one everybody.

Good morning, it’s a dull one here but still very mild.

I walked Bill first thing and went for a run. The Tesco delivery was due between 10 and 11 so I hopped in the shower at 9. Thank goodness John’s a) working from home and b) wasn’t in a meeting because it arrived at 9.15. I’ve had to contact them because they’ve sent a number of short dated items including fish with a use by date of today and 3 packs of mince with a use by of the 13th. They’ve had to refund almost £18, odd that those dates weren’t noticed though (the website tells you on the order page how many days there should be on the item before the use by date, mince should have 4+ days for instance) yet there was a notification on the delivery note that the iceberg lettuce had a date of the 13th so that it could be returned if not acceptable.

Saundra, it’s getting so many of us down I think. The fact that we haven’t got the nice weather that we had earlier in the year doesn’t help matters. Take care lovely xx

Have a good day all x

Best laid plans and all that

Came out of the shower to thick fog  But we ventured out and it had all gone by the time we got to the bar :?

Shopping done and into the chemist. Problem with the prescription :cute: The doctor had forgotten to put the code on that means I don't pay. As it's over 100€ I headed up top the centro de saude. They were really good, once I'd explained and I got in to see Dr Paulo with 15 minutes. Our doctor is on holiday, that's why I haven't heard from her.

He got the prescription sorted and back to the chemist 8-)

Then petrol, then coffee and a chat wit Odett and home for breakfast.

Clouded over now, but still mild.

Morning all, grey, wet and miserable here too. We’ll probably make the effort to get out for a walk around the block and for the rest of the day, I’ll keep working on my family history - there is a family tree on Ancestry that contains some of the people for whom I am searching, I have messaged the owner of the tree and hope he/she replies. I was going to sign up for the DNA test as they were offering it at almost 50% off, but that is only available in the US - well, don’t send me an email pushing it then :x On the .co.uk site, it would cost me €99 so I spent that money on rejoining for six months instead.

Right, the rain seems to have stopped for the moment, so off for a bit of fresh air >>>>>

Morning all :D

Dull and overcast

Glad you got the prescription charge sorted Jan, don't overdo it in the garden, where's a wagging finger emoji when you need it
Lovely idea to laminate a picture of Mrs.C's great uncle Crommers, so young, very sad.
Definitely duvet weather here
Saundra, sorry you're feeling a bit down, it must be extra hard living on your own xx

Already had two deliveries this morning, Boots and M&S, three more due sometime this week, M&S, Lakeland and Next. Think I've done most of my pressie shopping now :D Just got to wrap it, something I have a habit of leaving until the last minute, really will try to pace myself this year.

It's bin day tomorrow so I've got to get them all out late afternoon. It's recycling collection this week, paper bag, tins, plastic and glass bin plus the food caddy. The paper bag causes me most trouble. It's huge so I can't possibly carry it out full, means numerous journeys back and forth so fingers tightly crossed it doesn't rain. Exhausted just thinking about it lol I've popped a casserole in the slow cooker so at least I don't have to worry about dinner.

Hope you all have a good day xx
