Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 15 Nov 2020, 06:34

Good morning.

Nowt much to say weather wise here except it's warm and sunny again.

Off for a nice long walk then back to laze in the garden with my kindle.

There's a chicken to be roasted which we'll have with salad and spicy wedges.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Gorgeous, sunny morning 8-)

I'll be getting my recipe books out, trying to think of what sort of meal to do in a couple of weeks. Might have a wander around the garden, see how the weeds are growing   Ground too wet to weed, but I might scatter some salt around.

Decided on a bbq later, and probably again in a couple of days. As it's warm, take advantage of it 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning :)

I’m just back from walking Bill, it was lovely and bright when we set out and as soon as we got as far away from home as is possible (about 30 minutes away) on the common it started pouring down. I headed to the woods with him and we walked home that way and it had almost stopped by the time we walked back through the gate. That was excellent timing as that was 10 minutes ago and the rain’s running down the road now. I won’t be going out for a run

Roast chicken for dinner and Joe requested last week that the next Sunday dinner should be served in giant Yorkshire puddings so I had to buy a couple more cake tins so that we can have one each, they came with the Tesco delivery. I’ve got a bag of mixed berries in the freezer so I’ll make a berry crumble for pudding. We don’t often have a pudding but I think puddings are needed at the moment

Have a good day all :D

Our neighbour's just called round with a big bag of pink grapefruits.

I've counted them.... he's given us 24.

Good job I love them.

I voiced Google asking for recipes with grapefruits and the first one that popped up on images was a grapefruit drizzle cake so I'll give that a try. :D

Me neither, it’s always lemon drizzle here but I think I may have to add a couple of extra grapefruit to my Tesco order now

Morning all, it’s damp and miserable here. Same old same old, I finished my book last night so will start another, knitting, and I have a message from someone on Ancestry.com so I’ll have a look at that. I’ve been busy typing out all my handwritten notes in my family history file in case Michael or Kellie ever gets interested in it.

Ally, Edward suggests grapefruit marmalade.

I love a crumble Jo! Pink grapefruit drizzle cake and grapefruit marmalade sound pretty good too.
Morning all. The weather doesn't know what to do with itself here, chucking it down one minute then blue skies and sunny the next.
Sister in law is coming over for dinner apart from that zero is happening today.
I'll watch the motor bikes this afternoon and generally slump in front of the tv.
Have a good day all.
