Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 17 Nov 2020, 05:54

Good morning.

I'd say warm again but I'm upping it to hot. We hit over 30 degrees yesterday and we're forecast for 27 today so it'll probably nudge up more.

Work this morning and I'll nip out for a pitufo and coffee.

Afternoon hours 4 - 9. A has confirmed she'll be back on Monday. :cute:

Home to MasterChef and my own masterchef is making a jambalaya for dinner. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Stunning sunrise and we're in for another rather warm day.

I had to do the weeding in stages yesterday, I was leaking  and today I'll dig out my hat.

Apart from sitting down weeding, not doing a lot else, might kneel around a couple of glower beds and just rake them through, but everywhere is still a bit too wet.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning, it’s dull one minute and bright the next here. It’s windy too but very mild, we’re forecast 15c today whic( is pretty good for mid-November.

We walked Bill first thing and once John started work I went for a run around the village. In between work work he’s working on a plan for the festoon lights we’re putting up between the houses for Christmas. There was a little socially distanced meeting on the street last night with the two resident electricians (Rich and Brad) and the resident design engineer (John) discussing the logistics and doing some measuring while me and the two Nickys (their wives) discussed the important stuff; which colour lights. A vote on WhatsApp has decided on warm white.

Have a good day all and stay safe xx

Good afternoon everybody.

Went shopping to Tesco before going to the opticians again. When i went last week, he said the pressure in my left eye was high. Again the reading
is still high. So he is refering me to a specialist. He will try to get me in quickly so that my eye does not get worse.
This is the first time I have had a high reading.

Like Jom has said, it is warm for November. The sun is out with lots of blue sky.
Have a good day everybody.

Morning all :D

Nice and bright here.

Saundra we watched the 2nd episode of Hospital last night. Very interesting, E was there when the internet went down, it was chaos. Nobody could have their meds first thing, the nurses were running around trying to sort the paperwork. He might well have been one of the patients shown, he was asked if he would be willing to appear in a BBC documentary, but said no. One thing's for sure, the programme explains why there were so many delays during his time there.

Another groundhog day here, nothing planned except to do as little as possible

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it’s a very nice day, and really mild too. We were up and out early as Edward was having bloods done at 9.30 - he gets B12 injections every three months in the local health centre but needs an authorisation letter from the doc every six months. When he asked for the letter this time, she said she wanted to check his levels as he might not need it every three months. I was sitting in the car waiting for him when I needed to go to the loo, so I ran into the surgery to use theirs. Then Edward said would I make an appointment for him to see the doc, as he (1) has a soreness of some kind from behind his shoulder blade into his chest and (2) he has a hernia just ready to pop. The first appointment you get now is over the phone, but when the receptionist heard the word “chest” she asked one of the doctors to see him there and then, which was really nice of her. The upshot is that he is having a 24 hour monitor put on tomorrow, taken off on Thursday, when they will also do an ecg, and a request has been sent to get things moving with the hernia. Personally I think the chest thing is muscle related but what do I know

When we came back we went for a walk, over 4km. Kellie will be here for a while this afternoon, her Mum and Dad both have meetings and Michael will be at tennis.

Hope all goes well for him Osc xx

Jiggered now. It's been a glorious day, bit of a breeze, so keeping the temperature down. I've salted all the paths and some of the top drive - used 25 kilos of salt

Stopped for a banana and yogurt and we decided to hit the big flower beds, so that's them all tidied up. I was digging out the big, long one's and now have a blister

Heading for the shower and a well deserved beer 8-)

Afternoon everyone :)

Wow Ally, that's hot for November, isn't it? 8-) xx

Hope it wasn't too warm for the weeding Jan xx

That sounds like a lovely project Jo :D xxx

Cruiser, I hope all goes well when you see the consultant xx

Saundra it was a gloomy start here too! ;) xx

Jen I must try to catch up with that, is it BBC? 8-) xx

Good luck to Edward for his mobile ECG, Osc. They're a bit awkward to wear ( I've had it myself) but not too bad just for a day xx

Becky had today off, so came with me to see D at lunchtime. We had soup for lunch, then walked back. Making spaggy bol for dinner :)

Love to all :) xx
