Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 16 Dec 2020, 07:06

Good morning.

Broken sunshine but very mild.

Off for a walk then back to whizz through my reports. Being sent online now so easy peasy. :D

Then it's off to plaza Mayor as I want to get a warm jacket for when I'm in Scotland. I had a look through my wardrobe and I have a Levi jacket, a black leather jacket and a nice cream coloured denim one....definitely not warm enough for over there. ;)

I'm getting my haircut at 5pm. I had it booked for Friday morning but Neila left a voice message last night regretfully cancelling it and changing it to tonight. Not a problem though.

GB Menu (which has been fab-u-lous) and Masterchef tonight. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Wet and windy. Not a pleasant day.

Our shopping has been cancelled. Not going out in that. Will do the ironing this morning and we'll do the shopping tomorrow.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Enjoy your haircut Ally, I was delighted to get mine done yesterday. Kaz is right, you'll definitely need a nice warm jacket here.
Have a nice easy day Jan.
I think a lot of people will be wondering if their Christmas plans will go ahead Saundra.

Nothing planned for today, expecting Sainsbury's this afternoon and that's it.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, after a stormy night with lots of rain, today is mostly dull and damp but not too cold. We’ve had a little outing, we went to a shopping centre where I got a few bits and we bought our Christmas ham. Then we went off to a posh cafe for lunch, my sister had given Edward a voucher for his birthday, and we had a nice lunch, also bought a couple of their yummy take home meals. I had a bad night of sleep last night, so there might be a little snooze in the chair  We watched the new Rebecca last night so now we are watching the 1940 version for comparison.

Slightly different afternoon..

Lucy and Chris, new neighbours, had a problem with the gas water heater, so off we went to help out. Well, Grumpy did.

They'd got various people mixed up and had asked the electrician to sort it out, then the water bloke  Gave them the phone number of the gas bloke, but by then Lucy and Grumpy has sorted it.

They also wanted English tv and has been trying to get hold of Sergio, who does system around here. I rang him, no answer - quite normal  Ring again and he answers  8-)

He very kindly came over and they will have English tv by the week-end :Hi:

As we were half-way to the bar, went down, checked the post and had a couple of beers, as the sun had actually come out. 4

So sad to see Bertalina's two son's clearing out their parents house, but Asvedo just can't cope on his own, so is staying with eldest son.

No more rain, just cold now.

Kaz we've been in Tier 3 all along but the shops are all open, only the cafes are closed (which is a HUGE disappointment to me!!) but I've never not been able to get anything. Tbh with me working and the above, it doesn't seem all that bad....but I'll be DELIGHTED when the cafes can re-open!

Our plans for Christmas have been changed. I was very VERY anxious to have people round, especially when said people had several 'bubbles' over the 5 days....so I have stopped it. Now there'll just be us two for lunch, whereas usually there'd be five (there may well have been six this year, as Amy has a fiance now) and we'd already countered that Jen and Kyle would come Christmas Eve so as not to have too many in the house at once (and THAT was annoying to begin with!) but now nobody is coming at all.....maybe the children will pop in with gifts but that's all. It's been a trying few days....

I'm off till Monday now though....then only three days in work until I'm off for a longer spell - don't go back until January 4th :D :D
