Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 23 Dec 2020, 07:35

Good morning.

The weather has been lovely since my arrival. Mostly clear blue skies. I even sat on the garden swing seat yesterday and read for over an hour... I was wearing a warm jumper though.

Michele is setting off around 10 this morning. Her journey should take about 6 hours.

I'm really going to miss her but being as positive as ever she's only leaving a day earlier than was planned.

The 3 bar staff from dad's wee local pub visited yesterday. They'd brought him a lovely box of biscuits and we all stood chatting in the front garden. Them at one end and us at the other. It was so lovely to see them and I was very touched by their kindness.

I'll post my returning to Spain covid test dramarama on another post later today.

Have a great day. X

Morning Ally, morning all

Ally, best of luck to Michelle, I do hope she manages to get home OK. I've heard from my niece that is emigrating to The Netherlands, their flights is still going ahead but NL now (understandably) require a negative covid test prior to travel. So they'll get that sorted somehow and then off they to start their new very exciting chapter in life

dull and damp here today. The usual general pootling, some shopping, collecting the Christmas gammon from the butcher and first job this morning - putting additional shelter around the chicken run to try stop some of the rain getting in. It's not a lot but it would be nice to have the whole thing totally dry.

Have a lovely day all xx

Morning everybod.

It is windy and the light rain is being blown into your face. Had to wear a mask not a visor when I went for the paper.
The hairdresser is coming to do mrs.e's hair at 9.00 a.m. We are then going to do some shopping. She will stay in the car in the warmth.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning everyone

Misty and damp start here, so we stayed in bed with a coffee and a book 8-) Should brighten up later, but getting colder at night now. Down to 0C at the week-end :o

Safe journey to Michele xx

All sorts of stuff to do today, make the keema curry for tomorrow, ironing, cleaning, chatting with a friend on video thingy, getting the table and chairs up from the garden store and cleaning them, ready for Saturday.

I'm sure I've forgotten something

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it is a horrible day here, wet and very windy. My supermarket saga is on the shopping thread. I have had my nails done, there was a lovely atmosphere in the nail bar, all warm, bright and chatty. I have to collect the turkey and had intended to do so before my 9.30 nail appointment but there was already a queue outside the butcher shop. When I am confident my nails won’t smudge, I’l wrap up and get in the queue.

This afternoon Edward has an consultant appointment about his hernia, that’s at 3.30 so we’ll be out most of the afternoon. ANNNND the supermarket delivery has just arrived with everything, I am very impressed. Good luck to Michelle on her long drive.

Morning all :)

Very wet and miserable here

Ally safe journey to Michele.
Staying in bed with coffee and a book sounds a good plan to me Jan.

My food delivery was bang on time yesterday afternoon, nothing missing so I was really chuffed. If we haven't got it now, we'll do without :D

Like Saundra, not much happening today. The only job that must be done is putting the bins out ready for tomorrow morning. It's the big collection, recycling tins bottles etc, plus the food caddy and the paper bag. Means a few trips back and forth, if the weather stays like this I'll need my raincoat and boots.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx
