Happy Christmas to all on VV. The sun has been shining here this morning. Had my first disaster last night when I was expecting to carve my Christmas ham only to find it had to be cooked first! I hope I will fare a bit better with the Christmas lunch.

Just popping in to wish everyone a happy and peaceful Christmas. We’ve been for a nice walk, done most of what has to be done bar cooking the turkey and veg for 4pm dinner although the others will arrive any time from 2.30 onwards. So I’d better get myself in the shower >>>>>>>>

Saundra, Miss Osc and Kellie went for a swim and when we were out for our walk, there about 20 people swimming - rather them than me

Happy Christmas all, we’re having a lovely day with just the five of us (have to count Bill!)

We did a bit of rule breaking yesterday, seeing as we wouldn’t be seeing anyone today, and had Amanda and Shannon over. Neither had seen anyone but their immediate families and Tom and Joe for walks in the last few weeks. It was really lovely to have them both here.

After presents this morning me, John and Joe walked Bill. It was such a gorgeous clear and frosty morning, and the mud had frozen solid which was a Christmas present in itself

So sorry that your plans have been messed up Frank, sending you lots of love.

How lovely of your neighbour, Saundra x

Kaz, sending special wishes today xx

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone :)

Thanks for the special wishes, I have thought of mum a lot today, but with a smile :)

We've had an absolutely lovely day, although we missed the boys. I did speak to them both, and both in good spirits. D came late morning, dinner turned out perfectly, we were all stuffed full! We watched The Queen, then Chitty Chitty Bang Bang which was fun :) D has just gone home, and I'm going to ring Aunty Rose in a while.

Tapping this out on my new phone, my Christmas present from Mick :D

Love to all xxx

Ooo lovely Kaz - which model is it?

Belated Merry Christmas to all!! :D :D :D

I didn't switch the laptop on yesterday....we had D, J and the kids here in the morning to exchange gifts....D has been doing her own COVID tests as she is visiting care homes with COVID people in, and she wanted to make sure she was negative before visiting. We popped over to Amy's yesterday after D had been just to drop off gifts and she came out of the house in floods of tears, complaining that D had been 'allowed' to come in but they weren't. Honestly! I think her Tom must put up with a LOT!!  She's such a little madam!!

Rest of the day was just me and Tom eating loads and watching telly - it was nice for a change but I will look forward to next year when hopefully things will be better.
