Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 02 Jan 2021, 05:38

Good morning.

I had to check what day it was as the last 'day' posted on here was Wednesday.

Surreal doesn't even cover yesterday's journey home.
On the plane from Glasgow to Malaga...... Pilot. Co pilot. 4 cabin crew. 6 passengers!!

After all the hassle of fitting in a covid test and getting a flight within the 72 hour limit the actual journey could not have gone more smoothly.

We landed at 8.20 last night. I was first off the plane  which meant no queue at each of the check point Charlie stations.
It was only the fact it was uber quiet that I landed, was quizzed and vetted, picked up my luggage from the carousel (5 cases two of which were mine ) and was out and met by Don in under 25 minutes.

As truly wonderful it was to be with dad, and I had the loveliest time with him, there's no beating coming home. :D

Don and I are going out for lunch today. Sitting outside Gambrinus with my love in the sunshine will be just perfect.

Hope you all have a lovely day. X

Good morning all, it’s sunny here so I’m really hoping we see a thaw today.

No plans today. John walked Bill yesterday lunchtime and said the footpaths going around the corner to the path onto the common were like glass.

Glad you had a good flight home Al, enjoy the sunshine!

Have a good day all :)

I am glad the flight went well Ally and I hope you get your warm day Jan.
Good morning all.
Still cold here but a lot of the snow has melted, which is good because like Jo says the roads and pavements on the local estates have been like a skating rink.
Just waiting for our daughter and Eliza to turn up, I'm printing some stuff off for them.
We just need a paper today. I have put on a couple of pounds over Christmas so I need to shift that.
Have a good day all.

Good morning everybody.

It is still cold but there is some blue sky.
Another lazy day.
Post man was here just before 9.30 a.m. Two small parcels which would not go through the letter box and two birthday cards for mrs.e. She will be
88 tomorrow. No big celebration as we cannot have visitors.

Have a good day everybody.

I’ll take it back about the sunshine. It’s just started to snow again and what had been cleared (all of the road on our close in a collective effort the other afternoon) and the few bits that had thawed are white over again

Morning Crommers!

B and I have just had our first Zoom SW meeting of the NY  Both put on a few pounds but not as bad as we'd feared  :? Round to see D in a while, and we also need to pop to Sainsbury's at some point.

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning all, yes it is Saturday, I had to ask Edward what day it was yesterday! It is dull here and cold but no frost. After our exertions yesterday, today will be an easy day - added to which I had a bad night, short blocks of sleep interspersed with blocks of being awake and tummy not feeling 100%. Feeling improved now but very tired. Miss Osc suggested a family walk at some stage so we will wait to hear from them. I plan to get back to normal eating today, don’t know how much weight I’ve put on but won’t stand on the scales for a few days :x

Omg it’s cold here. No snow though.

I’m very confused on days. I’m just off to do my usual voluntary thing that I normally do on a Sunday but I’m doing on a Saturday this week!!! Completely thrown out of synch!

Shopping later this afternoon and then a bottle of wine and a takeaway for dinner. Tomorrow I am back in slimming world - I lost 2.5 stone last year abs then put it all (and more) bank on during lockdown. Other than my work uniform I only have 1 skirt and 1 pair of jeans that fit. I will not buy a bigger size!
