Good Morning Sunday

Postby JanB » 10 Jan 2021, 08:15

Morning everyone

Clouds giving way to blue sky and hopefully sunshine. Cold though.

Off to Pingo soon, then I will have a cooking day. Popping in to see Chris and Lucy on the way back, for a coffee and gossip. Back for a late breakfast.

Then I'm going to ring Jan and Joquinha as I want their advice about this hospital thing on Wednesday. Seems a bit odd to see the anesthetist so late in the day. Bit concerned that Grumpy will be sat in the car park and I'm being whisked off for the op

And then roast chicken for dinner, so a proper cooking day

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody.
It is much warmer and most of the snow and ice has melted. Still some snow where it has been shovelled into piles when driveways have been cleared.
Grey skies but no rain yet.
Just pootling again

Morning all, it’s a bit dreary here after yesterday’s blue skies. No doubt we will have a walk at some stage, otherwise it’s just the same old same old :?

Morning all. Grey and damp here. I have noticed though that it is getting lighter in the evenings now.
Not much doing here today either.
Roast chicken for dinner.
I have an appointment for a hip x ray on the 30th of this month. Well, hopefully I have, who knows. The latest was that I got two letters on the same day, one arranging the appointment and one telling me that I was being discharged back to my GP.  Fingers crossed anyway.
Good luck with your appointment Jan.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, it’s dull here but a bit milder.

Not much happening here today. Bill’s had his walk, the ironing’s been done and I’ve hung some washing out to dry. I’ve also tackled the horrible job of putting a new screen protector on my phone

Fingers crossed your appointment happens this time Crommers!

Have a good day all :)

Morning all :D

Cold and frosty start, seems to have thawed now, but it's very dull and overcast.

Hope you can find out more about your hospital appointment Jan.
Fingers crossed your appointment goes ahead on the 30th Crommers.

Nothing planned for today, quite happy to stay inside in the warm. Roast chicken for dinner later, raspberry blancmange and jelly for pud.

Hope you all have a good day, stay warm and safe xx

Afternoon all.

I've had a busy day - its been nice and sunny, but cold. Dog walk this morning (with a very reluctant Millie - the log burner was still warm and she really didn't want to move), then off to my usual voluntary thing.

This evening I've prepped dinner for tonight (Mick was supposed to do it but a pork loin flummoxed him!) and prepped two casseroles to go in the slow cooker in the week (Monday and Wednesday). I have bagged them up in the fridge so just have to throw them into the slow cooker and add liquid. I've got a busy week ahead at work - if I'm not doing my usual shifts I'm doing overtime booking people in for their covid vaccines (I need the money - I owe L £250 after I managed to put half her hair extensions through the washing machine the other week. Don't ask.  ).

I am now about to pour myself a glass of red and go and see what rubbish Mick is watching on tv.

Think we have it sorted   Tuesday is bloods and ecg, Wednesday is chat with the anesthetist and Joquinha doesn't think I'll be in for the op that day, if it was a private hospital, then yes. But not the nhs. He reckons it wil be done in a week or so

But why oh why, couldn't they get it all done the same day? It's a three hour round trip

I will be really peed off if I'm with the anesthetist for five minutes, then have to head back home.

Just realised I hadn't posted on here yet!

This morning I went to pick up some SW biscuits from our consultant's home, as she's got a stock of them in her garage. I stood back from her drive, well distanced, and she passed me a new carrier bag with them in. I paid by bank transfer. Then we went to put D's bins out, then home. We had lamb steaks, salad and jacket spuds for dinner :)

Not long got off the phone with Chris, he said the stats in Spelthorne (his council district) are horrendous at almost 1200 per 100 000, so I'm very glad he's working from home and only going out for essential shopping :?

Hope things go through as planned for Jan and Crommers XX

Love to all xxx
