Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 11 Jan 2021, 07:26

Good morning.

Blue skies and sunshine and creeping up to 13 degrees. Set to continue getting warmer from tomorrow. :D

Off for a good long run.

Back to shower etc then going over to Malaga to have lunch with Jacob. :D

On the way home we'll pop into Worten's for a new TV.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely sunny morning here too, but a little nippy out there

Washing out, next load doing and just hope it doesn't freeze solid on the line. Never known it so cold and for so long too  But the days are getting a little warmer from mid week and then the nights get a little warmer too. None of this -2C nonsense 8-)

General pootling today, will strip down the chicken carcasses and semi pack a small bag. Books, wet wipes, tablets etc.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody.
Had some rain in the night. Now just grey skies again.
JanB, saw the skiers on the snow in the centre of Madrid on the TV. Spain seems to be having it bad. Our snow has all melted.

Just another day of pootling. Have been to the small Tesco for milk and sandwiches for lunch. Only four cars on the car park.
Usually there are no spaces during the day.
Have a good day everybody.

We've got snow in the mountains Cruiser, doesn't get as far south as us, fortunately ;) Although Beja and Evora has a smattering.

Same as us Jan. The furthest south would be Sierra Nevada.

I laughed out loud at the crazy peeps in Madrid singing and dancing in the snow.

I'm back from a great run, got ready and now waiting for Captain Slow.

Morning all.
e need to get some cash out of the atm today and that's about it.
Snow in Madrid? Crikey. Ours has all melted too, although some is forecast for high ground in North Yorkshire today.
Have a good day all.

Morning everyone

a dull day here but at least not as cold as has been and definitely no snow.... I do wonder, what with climate change, if we'll ever get snow here again; and I mean a decent snow fall that stays a day or two, not ust a few flakes that melt when they hit the ground. A general day of working and pootling and cleaning for me. Karl and I more DIY work over the weekend which ended up with fine plaster dust all over. I still need to sand down part of the kitchen ceiling and once that's done the entire place needs a really good deep clean - that dust just gets EVERYWHERE! :D but for now a quick once over to get rid of the worst of it will have to do

I thought I had my car booked for its MOT today so just called to confirm, and it's actually tomorrow only - which throws a spanner in the works as I have three conference calls starting at the same time - typical :D so just hope the other participants are all able to join without any issues. Normally it's fine; but my luck tomorrow will be a lot of user errors and disasters :D

have a lovely day all - stay warm and safe

Morning all, it’s fairly dull and dreary here, with rain forecast for later. Michael and Kellie will be here for a couple of hours this afternoon, we offered to have them so Miss Osc and SIL could get some work done - trying to work, pack up for their move and keep the children occupied with the schools closed puts a lot of pressure on them. In the meantime , I’ll do some ironing. I’m waiting for a Boots delivery, oddly enough the email said UPS would be delivering, it’s usually DPD. We watched a UPS van coming up the street, he delivered further down the street, then he drove almost to our house, but delivered to another house further down and nothing for us :?

Boots :? When I first ordered the email said delivery on the 15th, which is fine. Then I got an email from UPS saying delivery today, although it has not tracked at all since then. After we saw the UPS van today, I got a cheery text from Boots saying the good news is that my order has left the warehouse and will be delivered on....the 15th. Not that it matters.

Morning all :D

Cold but nice and dry and the sun keeps trying to peek out.

Deliveries seem to be all over the place Osc, I ordered E another pair of shoes for adaption on 28 Dec and we're still waiting. Amazon says dispatching now, but when I click on tracking it just says we'll contact you when we have a delivery date?? The first pair arrived promptly and it's the same supplier. Likewise QVC, one of the items ordered says waiting for more stock, very unusual for them, they normally tell you if there will be a delay.

Not much happening here, no surprise, expecting a Tesco delivery this afternoon, that's as exciting as it gets

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe and warm xx
