Good Morning Tuesday

Postby JanB » 12 Jan 2021, 06:16

Morning everyone

Cold and dark out there  Supposed to be brighter when the sun comes out to play.

Up and out soon, as it's a long drive to Portimao and although I know where the hospital is, I haven't the foggiest where to go for my first two appointments

Will have breakfast somewhere on the way back, I'm not even allowed water  so will be taking that too.

Will report in when I get back.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good luck Jan.

Eliza is here, so a busy morning looms.

Beautiful blue skies here, hopefully we'll get out this afternoon.

Have a good day all.

Good morning everybody.
Like cromwell, we have lovely bklue skies and it is getting warmer.

Have been vaccinated. Left home at 8.45 for our 9.15 appointment. Went by taxi and was dropped off at the door. The clinic is in a sports hall.
There are four full size tennis courts in the room being used. Had to check inside the main door, and had to apply hand wash. Then down a corridor
with staff to make sure you are going the correct way. In the room there is another table where you are checked in and given a card showing the
type of vaccine and the batch number. Were then shown to seats but did not have to sit down before going into one of the cubicles.
After the injection, given another cars showing the time and went to the waiting area for 15 minutes. Staff were checking to make sure you rested
before leaving the clinic.
Back home in less than an hour.
A quick calculation says the clinic is doing over 120 vaccinations per hour.
It is very well organised and controlled.
Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it’s a nice bright day and doesn’t seem to be as cold as recently. General pottering about today, I got all the ironing done yesterday *polishes halo*. I need to go to the chemist to collect my prescription and I’m sure we will have a walk at some stage. We had offered to have Michael and Kellie again for a couple of hours but my sister is doing that today. The post brought a lovely surprise - when we lived in London, we became friends with the couple next door and have stayed in touch ever since, mostly Christmas cards at this stage. We came home, they moved to Scotland, they visited us, we visited them. With this year’s card, I told them about my cancer and they sent me a really pretty crystal angel. Edward would not normally be into something like that, but he went all around the house looking for the best place to hang it where it would catch the light. It’s this one https://www.wildthingsgifts.com/Classic ... oducts/48/ but with green wings.

Cruiser, that sounds really well organised. Jan, good luck today x

That's really pretty Osc and well thought by your friends.

Sounds very well organised Cruiser :D

Chaos reigns in Portuguese hospitals. If the Portuguese don't know the system, how am I supposed to understand?

Had to ask for help to log in, nothing I did got my name up  Sat down for about half an hour, then called - literally, forget the machines - to go for blood, then had to ask where I go for the ecg. Seamless. I was in and out within 10 minutes :Hi:

Chaos in the car park too, as there had been a coming together and the police were around

Took a wrong turning, somehow   and ended up on the motorway, rather than the 125. Not a problem, just have to pay next week.

Back tomorrow

Going to make a shepherds pie for the freezer and I might, just might, go down the bar for a beer later, as the sun is out and it's glorious now

Osc, that is beautiful! :) Very similar to some that D has - she is very much "into" crystals, and has lots of pretty bits and pieces like that. It was a very thoughtful gift 8-) :) xxx

Glad it went ok Jan, despite the slight mishaps (((((x))))))

Wellllll we're isolating again! This time Becky was informed last night of a positive contact at work, and they've required her to take a test before returning. She has symptoms today, a burning throat and is hot and listless, so is currently sticking to her bedroom and bathroom to protect us :? She has a test booked for 6.30 - fingers crossed! :?

Love to all xxx

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny right now :D

Glad your appointment went well in spite of all the confusion Jan.
What a lovely gift Osc, definitely something to treasure.
Your vaccination centre sounds very organised Cruiser.

I haven't been out in the car since before Christmas so need to go out for a short drive along the seafront sometime today. I'm due for a blood test at the hospital tomorrow, don't want to get ready to go only to find the car won't start.

Hope you all have a good day, stay warm and safe xx
