Well there's a project for Grumpy - he can build her a kennel and some shelves so she can get high up ;-)

We've just finished having our 30 year old double glazing replaced. Never again! We've spent the last two days being herded from one room to the next at the whim of the installers ...... thankfully re remembered to pack the teabags and kettle

but what a difference it'll make, I'm sure!

I'd really like to replace my bedroom window and also the sliding door in the dining room - that's going to be my next project ;-)

We hope so, Meriad - at least two of the windows were "cloudy" and the base-board under the patio door had rotted ..... :?

We used a local specialist firm and the cost was surprisingly reasonable.

Was about to say Ossie, I bet that wasn’t a cheap purchase but hopefully you’ll benefit from not losing heat I could probably do with having mine replaced too, they’re all 20 years old, apart from my front door.

It was just over £5K for 7 windows and a patio door, Gal - a long-established family firm with a good reputation locally; we asked around.
Two fitters for two days and UK-manufactured windows, so no last minute price shocks!

But does Grumpy need renovating? He looked OK for his age to me.
