Been out measuring this morning - he's going to draft an outline of where things could go and then we will see Heldar.

But there's no rush ;)

That's very annoying Jan - esp (as I said before) you really shouldn't be without a car longer than you have to. Can you give them a ring and find out?

Re the ruin - what will you do with it; what is it to be when finished?

And    at Frank's comment :D

Jan will be bringing it up sometime today. It was in the Algarve and he couldn't bring it up, due to the lockdown.

Re the ruin. As it's pre 1951, we think we don't need a licensed builder, although we will check, obviously. If that is the case, then Grumpy can do the work. The majority of it. We'll get Heldar to do the groundworks, Sergio for the electrics and one of Heldar's blokes for the plumbing. Grumpy and Jose Felipe can do the roof and tiling. And also the stonework. But we'll need blokes to do the final render.

We're hoping for a bedroom and shower room and then a small kitchen, with comfy table and chairs. Outside will be terraced to the front and side, with a small wall. Other landscaping is being discussed

It looks more like pre 1591....

Will it be an out-of-the-way and self-contained holiday let or will it just be for you lot to hold pensioner's parties and bingo evenings? ;)

Party pad WM

it just seems a shame that it's falling down, so if we can do it up, with all the normal permissions etc, then we will.

It can be used by family or any-one wanting to stay, but not in with us.

Or if eldest son and horde come over, we'll move into there

We need to speak to Heldar and then the camera (town hall). For normal building work, it can only be done by a licensed builder and you have to jump through hoops to get that.

No matter when it was built, as long as it was pre 1951.

It'll look amazing though once done - so fingers and toes crossed you don't need permissions and no jumping through hoops is needed.
