Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 27 Jan 2021, 07:19

Good morning.

Sunny and forecast 22 degrees. It's forecast in the 20s for the next 10 days.

Off for a walk shortly then back to tidy up the office. It's a room at the back of the house that we used to use as a telly room for the boys and when they got their own places we changed it to have bookcases, a couple of desks and chairs. Seeing as I'll be online teaching for the next month I'm going to make it a bit more 'officey'.

I have two hours (to cover for Ana) she's on the baja after her operation so not allowed to work. They're at 4 and 5pm.

Repair Shop tonight. :D :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Foggy start, but sun is forecast and warmth too. So we're having a bbq later :Hi:

Off to Ourique and the joy that is Pingo this morning, Also need to top up Grumpy's new phone. Picking up a few bits and bobs for some friends, so will have a gossip and coffee there, as the bars are still shut. I do miss my bica. Also picking up some paperwork they've kindly printed off for me.

The police are being extra zealous at them moment and you have to have proof of why you're out, if you're in a different district. As we're going into two different ones on Wednesday and Thursday, we need the paperwork to prove where we're going is for a legitimate reason. Big fine if you're caught going out for just a drive.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Ally and Jan.
Not a bad morning here. Warmer than usual and a bit of blue sky.
Enjoy the Repair Shop Ally! It's fascinating watching real craftsmen work.
Jan, that sounds quite severe. It's interesting to hear how other countries are handling the pandemic.
Eliza is here so today is a busy day.
Must pay the car tax today.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all :D

Nice and dry at the moment, although I think rain's forecast for later.

E's haircut was a big success, I'm getting better, but it takes me about an hour so I won't be sorry when he can go to the barber again.

Nothing planned for today, the only 'excitement' will be putting the bins out ready for collection tomorrow. It's only the normal rubbish bin and the food caddy so not too difficult, just hope the promised rain stays away until it's done.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe and warm xx

Hello everyone - started replying earlier and then got busy with work. How it's now already 12.37 is beyond me!

Oh Ally, I long for some of your warmth :D Enjoy sorting the office; it will make working at home a lot nicer having somewhere 'proper' to do it. And also being able to shut the room and know that work isn't taking over your house.
Jan enjoy the BBQ - think we may need to plan one at Karl and Nadine's when the first warm and dry weather hits. Just one more 'normal' aspect of life
Crommers - I agree, the Repair Shop is amazing and the talent those people have - just wow! Have a lovely time with Eliza - remind me how old is she now?
Jen, a definite advantage of being female; longer hair looks OK and can be tied / clipped back. Males just end up looking like Shaggy Dog :D :D :D

Well a rather non-descript day here, grey drizzly, mild(ish) and just generally nothing exciting at all. Usual work and usual pootling. Sorted through the seeds this morning and have the packs ready that need sowing in the next week or two - plan for the weekend is to clean the greenhouse and get it all ready. Been saying that for a while not but just not got the va va voom. But now running out of time so HAVE to do it.

Hope Edward is feeling OK today Osc?

Have a lovely day everyone else; the usual stay warm and stay safe greeting x

Afternoon all, finally I’ve got the chance to check in. I’m not sure where the days are going this week.

It’s a bit milder today, and quite bright, so finally the ice is clearing off the paths. There’re still piles of snow though from drifts and where drives have been cleared.

The Tesco delivery came this morning so I’ll need to drop off my Mom and Dad’s shopping later. Joe’s got online college today so is in his bedroom and John’s busy in the home office, the door’s just closed so I think he must be in another meeting.

I’m having a break from trawling the internet for a birthday present for Tom. He’s having money but I still want to get something for him to open on the day. He’s always buying books and with him staying at Shannon’s since Christmas I don’t know what he’s bought recently so that’s out, but I thought of a plant for in his room, he likes plants. After three days of looking I’ve (ordered two for myself  ) narrowed it down to three

Afternoon all, I was actually up a bit early today as I was to go to Miss Osc’s and wait for something to be delivered as SIL had to bring his car for NCT and Miss Osc had home schooling plus work. However I was just on my way when Miss Osc phoned to say that the delivery had arrived early and SIL was dealing with it on his way to the NCT. So I came home, and headed out for a walk, it is a pleasant day, mild, the sea was lovely and calm and it was nice and quiet on the pier because it was early. Came back, we did the shopping order for tomorrow and I made a batch of soup. Miss Osc called in with the children for a short visit. I’ve written a letter, been to post it and transferred some money in the post office. Then I’ve made some payments with online banking, not normal bills but one off payments which was a bit of a faff but now it’s done.

Edward is ok, tired and sore. He slept well last night.
