Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 31 Jan 2021, 07:07

Good morning.

How is it the last day of January already?!

Sunny and forecast 21 degrees. 8-)

I'm away for a bike ride shortly. Where I live is surrounded by forests to the back of us and there are many great trails to follow. :cute:

No doubt this afternoon will be spent lazing and reading on the sofa..bliss. :D

There's a big plump chicken to be roasted with salad and coleslaw.

DOI (see you later Kaz ;) ) and Finding Alice.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally and everyone.

A very hard frost last night and the paths are like a skating rink! However, it is a beautiful cloudless day so it should all burn off in no time then I will be out to the graveyard for walk. :D

After the desk cleaning exercise I have a couple of phones and other small electricals to go to the charity shop - they all need resetting to factory defaults to make them safe. One is an old Tomtom satnav and I am trying to get it to fire up and work as I never really used it and it has sat idle for a few years. According to the 'net it will take some time, but at least I will be occupied.

Have a good day all.

Good morning all.
Very frosty and cold here too. The Crofton Terror is here (aka Eliza) but she slept well last night, only waking up the once.
Chicken for dinner and a lazy day for us.
To go for a paper or not go for a paper? Decisions, decisions!
Have a nice day everyone, stay warm.

Morning everyone

Clouds and sun with rain forecast for this afternoon.

No idea why, but most week-ends I have a job to get the wifi connected :cute: Drives me mad :cute: :cute:

Breakfast cooked and eaten, will do the washing up then I have a pile of ironing to get through.

Going out this afternoon :Hi: :Hi: Only down to the bar, to unload all the recycling, check the post and I'll pop in and see Chris and Lucy on my way back.

Roast chicken here too, for dinner :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody.

It was frosty this morning when I went for the paper. There were blue skies but grey clouds have come.
Have had a phone call to make an appointment for tomorrow. We have decided to have a stairlift fitted as mrs.e finds it hard going up and down stairs.
We had a helicopter on Thursday night about 1.00 a.m. Not heard any news to say why it was about. There seems to be very little real news. It is all about the pandemic
and vaccinations.

Now trying to get rid of old files which we no longer need. Found insurance details from 2011. Long past their sell by date!

Have a good day everybody.

Good morning from a wet dreary Howth, January is always a long month but this year it has been about three months long :( Michael and Kellie are coming here around lunchtime for a few hours while Miss Osc and SIL clean the rented house. They had a long and tiring day yesterday in dreadful weather, but it got done. I did all the ironing yesterday. My sister was looking after M and K yesterday during the move, she called here just as Edward was serving up dinner, so she stayed to eat with us. We even had a pudding which is unusual for us, but because it was such a miserable day, I had made an apple sponge and custard, so she enjoyed her meal. Edward is feeling better every day, moving more comfortably and in good form.

Morning all :D

Nice and dry here.

Nothing much planned, we're also having roast chicken for dinner, it's vanilla blancmange with lemon and lime jelly for pud.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Afternoon all :)

Ally, it's felt like a long, cold, wet January here! "See" you later, looking forward to it ;) xx

Good work Frank! :geek: 8-) xx

Oh Crommers, I'll bet she's the sweetest little angel really :D ;) xx

Hope you have a nice trip out Jan  :D xx

Sounds like a good idea about the stairlift Cruiser, I hope the appointment goes well tomorrow xx

I'm glad the move is going ok for Miss O, Osc. Hard work, but they'll soon be settled in :) Best wishes to E xx

Afternoon Jen :) xxx

Well we've bucked the trend today on here by not having chicken :P  We had spaghetti bolognese as we all fancied it :D It's a horrid dark day here - rain followed by snow, now more rain, and freezing cold! We popped to D's earlier, picked up the newspaper and some milk on the way back, and have been nice and snug ever since, watching stuff on the player 8-)

Take care everyone :) xx

Oh dear Kaz, your weather sounds awful!

I hope everyone is ok and enjoying the weekend....Crommers I know the feeling, we had our two for about half an hour last night and were exhausted when they had gone! They ARE gorgeous though!

Today we have gone for another 5 mile walk, into Durham and along the riverbank, up towards the Cathedral and back along. We stayed out whilst John has been over doing a job for us, damp has been getting in at the windows, the recess on some windows was damp after rain so the mastick needed replaced, and that's what he's done. It's been a lovely dry, SORT of sunny day, if extremely cold. I'm making a Sunday dinner soon, lots of veg and chicken breasts - as there are only the two of us I rarley do a whole chicken. Not had any veg last week so am looking forward to it.

We got an email from work last night, as of tomorrow we have to do a particular procedure differently, so boss had posted videos explaining the new regime, all online voucher forms from tomorrow! I have just watched them...looks complicated, but I'm sure once we get into the swing of it, it will be fine but until then....what could possibly go wrong????  NOT looking forward to that!! Also we have a new member of staff starting, a man (ooh!!) - it's unlikely I will work with him as he's based at another branch, but you never know.

Enjoy Sunday, what's left of it x
