Suff,
Thanks for the info.
The battery is now twelve years old. The car is not having any long runs now. Longest is to Tesco just over a mile.

Will wait and see what happens.

Couldn’t agree more MM!! In my case Thursday and Friday, this week in particular has been intense... and frustrating! Not much fun wearing a mask all day and constantly wiping door handles, chair arms and other surfaces down is it? :?

We aren't as bad Gal as we dont have many patients in, although on a Thursday when I do the immunisation clinic for the babies, I clean and swap the chairs after each one, my arms ache afterwards.

I'm just sick of people being so unpleasant and not understanding that we dont have the answers to the covid vaccination questions

Really sorry people are being unpleasant to you, MM. There's absolutely no call to take out Covid frustrations on the very people trying to help.

That doesn't seem fair.....I'm sorry you have to deal with this also :(

We're not having as many bodies through the door as normal, but we are trying to implement an appointment only policy, doesn't always work!!

We have found that the love for the nhs has disappeared and been replaced by the old nastiness again.

We are back to getting daily abuse from patients (over the phone and in the surgery) about a variety of things. Lots of frustration about wanting to know when they are likely to get the vaccine (how long is a piece of string?)

And if one more patient argues with me that they don’t need to wear a mask because they’ve had the first part of the vaccine I think I might clonk them one.

I’m spending much of my day ringing patients to book them in for the vaccine.

A few weeks ago they were overjoyed to hear from me.

Now a lot of them have had letters from NHS England and so have booked to travel quite some distance to get to the national hubs. So when I ring them to see if they’ve got an appointment yet I get abuse that I didn’t ring them soon enough and now they’ve got to drive miles out of their way instead of coming to the surgery.

I had a full blown argument with someone about it yesterday as he pissed me off so much that I just snapped back. I had to go cap in hand to our practice manager who then listened to the recording of the call and told me I’d done very well not to have been even ruder to him. At least our managers and partners do support us.

The NHS really can’t win!

Lockdown Highlight of the Week ...

Edited - I’ve just checked and I think you need to be on Facebook to see it.

I’ve copied this from our practice website - it gives an idea of how the two surgeries have been operating over the last 11 months. If it works!

Go to the main news page and click play on the All together now video.
