Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 05 Mar 2021, 06:44

Good morning.

Off for a walk shortly then back to change and walk into town for a haircut.

Pootling till my two private classes 4.30 - 6.30 then............wait for it..............trumpets and fanfares..................it's Friday beers and tapas time again!!!!!!!!!!!!

Up until now all bars, cafes and restaurants had to close at 6pm but from last night it's now 9.30pm. Rates have continued to fall steadily since King's Day that has allowed our town more freedom. Long may it continue.

This means I'll meet Don when I finish work and we'll go to Quest for a few beers and food. :cute: :cute:

Have a good day.

Continued thoughts for Cruiser and Crommer's family.

How is E Osc? xx

Morning Ally, morning everyone

We have sunshine :Hi: after a lot of rain last night, we're expecting more today

Our bars are still closed Ally, and restaurants can only do take-away, up until 1.00pm. The whole of the Alentejo had five new infections yesterday. As we're the biggest district, that's some doing. Then again, we're also the least populated

I'll be a couch potato today, the athletics is on the tv, so that's me sorted

Hope E is better today and managed to speak to the doc yesterday x

Continued thoughts for the Cruisers and also the Crommers family xx

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning you two, morning all

Ally, that is fantastic news, enjoy. I am looking forward to the day I can meet up with others for a glass of wine and a bite to eat... but by the sounds of it we're still a way off from that happening!

A rather grey and dull day here and cold again :( Spring can now hurry up :D . Another usual / usual for me. I may pop round to a neighbour later on - apparently she's not well and is lying on the sofa with suspected food poisoning. But she has animals that need to be cared for and I'm hoping she's managing to do that. Thing is (and this sounds really horrid and nasty of me) but if I offer to go round now she'll just happily let people do everything for her whilst she's on the sofa watching TV. She's a nice person but can be a bit 'lazy' and milk situations so I'm waiting for another neighbour to let me know how she's doing in a few hours. I'll obviously make sure both she and the animals are OK but not going to pander to her whims ;-)

Oh well... let's see how the day goes

Vibes for all those that need them xx

Morning all :)

Ally I would kill for a haircut! I had to cut my own fringe yesterday, not made a bad job of it, but I'm not keen on the "pudding basin" bob the rest is growing out into :cute:    xxx

Jan, enjoy your couch potato'ing :D Sounds good to me  xxx

Ria, I hope your neighbour is better soon. It sounds as though you have the situation sussed ;) xxx

Well the sun is trying to shine here, but it's pretty chilly! I've done all my Friday cleaning in my jim-jams, so have just had my shower and about to get ready to go out. D needs me to pick up a prescription for her from the surgery. They are usually on automatic transfer straight to the pharmacy at Sainsbury's, but it wasn't there yesterday. She rang the surgery and they've apologised and will have it ready for me. Apparently I have to ring the bell, and they'll let me in   That surgery has been like Fort Knox for months now.

Take care everyone (((x)))

Clouded over and the wind picked up, so I couldn't watch tv. And I was getting a bit restless anyway, can't sit still for too long, so went outside in the cold, cutting the dead bits off the lemon trees and then cut leaves off the tall spikey plants.

Something rather large has been digging rather large holes in the field next door, think it must be wild boar

Afternoon all, it’s dull here and extremely cold. I went for a walk with my two friends, first time since Christmas, and I really enjoyed the social chit chat. We bumped into other gym friends also, so in spite of the cold, it made a nice change. Edward is good today, he did get to talk to the doctor yesterday who asked if he could drop a sample to the surgery before 11 this morning. She gave info on how to get the sample (caused some hilarity in setting it up) but then - nothing  so no sample was acquired. She also suggested pro biotic capsules to rebalance his system and if he has further problems, to get back in touch next week. I’ve made a batch of soup and am just about to have my lunch. Dinner is ordered from next door and no other plans for the day.

Good afternoon all.
Grey and chilly here. Yes Ria, spring should definitely get springing!
MrsC has seen the Vicar this morning and we are waiting for the original will before we start to apply for probate.
MrsC is another who would risk trouble with the law for a haircut! She does her sister's fringe regularly and vice versa though.
We looked after Eliza this Tuesday. As she was going home she said "Thank you for having me". !!
Honestly, that child; she isn't even three yet. (Birthday is next month).
Vibes for the Cruisers and anyone else who is in need of them.
Have a good day all.

Afternoon all, it’s gone dull after a sunny start.

Bill’s had two walks and is now on the sofa, snoring. The Tesco delivery has been so that’s all away now, just need to drop a couple of bags of shopping onto my Mom and Dad’s drive later, hopefully my Mom’s tablets will be ready at the pharmacy around the corner this afternoon so we can drop those off at the same time.

Crommers, your little Eliza sounds amazing

I desperately needs a hair cut too. The fringe isn’t a problem as I’m trying to grow it out but I’ve had to take the thinning scissors to the rest. I had it chopped quite a bit shorter at the end of November and loved it and had an appointment booked for January so it’s well overdue now. It’s just sort of sitting there on my shoulders how. In the meantime John, Tom and Joe look great because they’ve got a live in hairdresser (me!).

Have a good day all :)
