Good morning Tuesday.

Postby Ally » 09 Mar 2021, 06:34

Good morning.

Forecast sunny.

My two hours teaching this morning then meeting my friend for a coffee and pitufo.

Work 4 - 7 then home to something with chicken and spices according to my resident chef.

Have a good day.

I thought I'd be sore this morning but the only thing(s) protesting are my butt bones. I have no meat on said butt.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Chilly this morning but the sun is out 8-)

Glad you're not too sort this morning Ally, thought thighs and bum would be sore.

Off down to the Algarve this morning, to collect my new eyes :Hi: expensive eyes  then will pop into the English shop for curry and other stuff we can't get here. They're having difficulty getting the normal things through customs - thanks eu :cute: And the pet food shop, as Chris asked me to get some treats for their pooch.

Drop that lot off when we get back and will, no doubt, have a beer and a gossip. Not seen them for a long time.

My two youngest grandsons enjoyed going back to school yesterday - makes a change to say that, doesn't it? Julia enjoyed the peace and quiet too

Pasty and chips, with home made onion gravy for dinner. Proper comfort food :D

Thinking of Cruiser and hoping he's doing as well as he can. There's an awful lot of sorting out to do for him. Wish one of us was nearer.

Have as good a day as you can everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everyone

Cruiser, agree with Jan - crying is good for the soul; absolutely nothing wrong with it. And lovely that you are getting so many cards with special messages x

Ally, glad you're not too sore - phew. Enjoy your day
Jan, good luck with the glasses; they are super expensive here as well. I think I need new ones but am reluctant to pay so much. Interesting re your comment about things coming through customs; I didn't think it would affect the countries within the Eurozone? We are having issues here in the UK and I'm really struggling with cat food at the moment. I can make do for myself; there are always alternatives but the cats don't eat most of the other foods available so it's more of an issue with them. And same for dog food that I get for a neighbour. We both received an email from Sainsbury's saying there is a national shortage and they suspect it will be ongoing through the year. So guess who is going to buy bulk when I find the food the cats like ;-)
Kaz, a lovely sunny day here as well - but apparently it's the calm before the storm. Lots of wind and rain coming in as of tomorrow - I think Osc is going to be quite affected by that weather front?

Well a usual work day for me - chicken pie for dinner; yum

Sending hugs to those that need one x

Morning all.

Woken at 7:30 by a pester call: Press 1 for..... 2 for.....

Re glasses. Got my computer ones yesterday - £170.00. I can get £90 back from the health insurance, but still!

Strange weather. Very still with high clouds, quite mild and the sun is trying to break through, but it could also rain and buds are starting to appear on the trees.

Not sure what to do with myself. Put the washing machine on, change the bed, hoover? Or I could just chill and read and watch TV. Hmmm, I think I am sorted. :D :D :D

Thoughts for Cruiser, good to know your friends are rallying round.

Good morning all. Grey and not too warm here.
I'm glad people are rallying round Cruiser.
Off to my second home - Sainsbury's - in a mo. We are getting a couple of bits for some rellies.
Apart from that very little. Recorded the Meghan and Harry imbroglio last night, I might watch a bit of that later. Or if Eliza comes down, Peppa Pig!
Have a good day all.

Morning all, we’re back to dull and dreary again *sigh* - still, we had a nice walk with Michael and Kellie yesterday, they are busy exploring their new area. Yesterday we found a path through woods with lots of fallen trees for climbing, and there were several rope swings too, so they had great fun. We need to get out for a walk early as the bad weather is due to arrive later, as Ria says, although tomorrow is supposed to be worse. Then it’s mostly h/worky stuff, and I’ll do some crochet - it’s weird, I can remember all the stitches but my brain is struggling with patterns (despite Jo’s kind help) so I am doing a simple baby blanket for the time being, I’m sure someone will have a baby sometime

Cruiser, I’m so glad you have friends around, if times were different there would be even more, I am sure. I would love to have written to you if I had your address. You are right to cry whenever you need to instead of keeping it all in.
