This Twitter nonsense.

I am beginning to wonder if Twitter pays outlets to mention it - and how much?

There was a time when leading figures, politicians and even the irrelevant Celeberatti once "said" things. No more. They now tweet or had / have tweeted.

President Trump didn't say.... he tweeted.

The Queen... tweeted.

The PM... tweeted.

The Pope.... tweeted

And it is not enough that they tweeted, we absolutely must have what they tweeted in plain language followed by a screen shot of the tweet.

The latest nonsense is this non-news story on the BBC's World News page! Cop for that tweet, it makes perfect sense, eh?

It was once novel, but it is now tiresome. People say things all the time, and that's fine, but we do not need to know the platform used, especially if there are payments being made.

Try this for the perfect example.

Confused here. Did you InstaChatWhatFace that, or was it the real you, in person, saying something back to me? Or were you just re InstaChatWhatFaceTweeting from another forum?

The bind moggles.

Twitter, Facebook, all the same in my mind. But worse, for me, was the way that the French created a verb Google, to search for something on the net.

Now, personally I still search for stuff on the net and Google Is still one of the search engines I use. I most certainly don't Google anything although I hear people say that all the time. Any more than I yahoo something, alta vista it, duck duck go it, lycos it....

I might, however, hoover the house...

As for the way instant message platforms are used?

Stupid is as stupid does and one of the problems with stupid is that they always drag you down to their level. Ignoring it is the only option.
