Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 25 Mar 2021, 06:45

Good morning.

Blimey this week has again zoomed by super speedily. :o

I'm done with saying warm and sunny. It is now officially hot. We went out for lunch yesterday and had to find a table in the shade as it was just too hot in the sun and we had no factor on.

Usual two hours this morning then coffee and pitufo.

Work 4 - 7.

GB Menu and Masterchef tonight. Double delight. Don's buying pizzas.

Have a good day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Warming up, but still very chilly at night. Drops 20C

I had planned on doing a new recipe for dinner, but we're going out  So favas out of the freezer instead. Going to Ourique to pick up some books, then seeing Steve and Jackie for a few beers and more books. I'm taking a selection for them both too.

I'll have to ring Sergio again - he's not the most reliable bloke. Good in an emergency, but losing English tv is not classed as that, obviously  Still, we have footie to watch and I'll catch up on Great British Menu at the week-end.

I was half in sun, half in shade yesterday Ally. Still had to come inside every half n hour to cool down and had my factor 8 on 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning you two, morning all

Still nippy here in the UK and doesn't look like it is going to warm up any time soon. But at least fairly dry'ish which is one good thing.

Hope you manage to get some books you haven't read Jan
Ally enjoy your day

Another usual / usual for me today. Need to pop to Sainsbury's at some point to get a few ingredients to make a marble cake for Karl's birthday tomorrow (need to check first though if Nadine is making a cake) but otherwise nothing exciting happening. Half listening to the news on the radio this morning and am astounded that there is talk of some form of lock down until possibly October      Definitely not a total lock down but some possible restrictions - but still

As always vibes for those that need them. Stay safe everyone x

Morning all, not a bad one here. Sunny and mild.

There’s a load of washing in the machine and another to do after that’s finished. Once I’ve finished traipsing in and out of the house I’ll steam clean the kitchen floor.

Ria, I’d be more surprised if restrictions weren’t carrying on through the year!

Have a good day all :)

Morning all, it’s dull and cool here. Michael and Kellie will be here later. We’ve just got a text to say our supermarket delivery will be an hour late, but that’s not a problem. I’ll tidy around then pop to the shops for a few things. I also need to wrap SIL’s birthday present for tomorrow and write the card (not much wrapping, it’s a bottle of wine :D )

Thinking of Cruiser.

I totally agree, I think restriction like masks and social distancing etc will remain for a good while yet - but I just hope they ease the restrictions on shops / theatres / restaurants / pubs etc.... The number of people affected by the closures of those is too huge to not try come up with some solution that will allow for them to reopen and people to get their jobs (and lives) back

That sums up my feelings too. As for holidays abroad this summer, I feel that would be foolhardy until the country we wish to visit is in the same position with their vaccine programme.

The District Nurse came and redressed E's wound yesterday. Mr.P said it was long, he wasn't kidding, it goes from just under his waist to half way down his thigh :o She's coming back next Tuesday, think it will be an extra couple of weeks before he's allowed in the shower. She very kindly changed his stockings for me, try as I might I really couldn't get them off him, even she found it difficult.

The main excitement for today was a delivery of blancmange. Both Sainsbury's and Tesco no longer stock it, disaster, luckily I found the wholesaler and they take online orders. They even have a new one, butterscotch, I only ordered two satchets of that flavour to see if we like it, sounds yummy so we'll see.

Nothing much else planned, we'll have a little walk round the close before lunch. Otherwise it's just a Sainsbury's delivery coming this afternoon.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx
