What a week so far

Postby victor » 14 Apr 2021, 08:57

Last Friday after not being well for a while my Wife's oldest sister was blue lighted to Hosps he had been breathless /swollen feet and legs not been looking after herself -even "pushing " away her youngest Daughter and Grandkids.
However Friday morning both daughters (the other one lives quite a distance away)arrived to see her and immediately rang for the Dr -not available -only a Locum who was not doing house calls !
So rang 999 Paramedics came checked her over and called for an Ambulance to take her to Hosp.
I must say that during all the time she was not well at COULD NOT get a home visit from her Dr only a 45 phone call with a counsellor who informed the Dr it was a case of Anxiety consequently Dr prescribed sleeping tablets.
Anyway as i was saying Friday into Hosp where they diagnosed fluid around her lungs which was causing her heart to beat irregularly.
Saturday morning they give a scan which showed lung cancer with 1 lung virtually not working at all and condition untreatable'
She passed away Sunday evening at 7.30,
And so we come to Tuesday when we get a phone call saying another sister had been taken to Musgrove Hosp in Taunton having suffered a heart attack,Now awaiting news of her condition,

Vic, how sad.
And how awful that your wife's sister found it so hard to get medical treatment.
I hope the other sister recovers soon from her heart attack.

Vic, that is all so terrible to hear. It is not how the system or life should work.

A priority for you now must be to look after yourself and yours, and I do hope for a good recovery for the other sister.

Take care.

Vic, I have stents. I do not know where she is but up here in Leeds the process is a 12 week rehab course starting about to weeks after the fitting. We do Mo. We. Fr one week and Tu. Th. the next in a local gym under the watchful eye of the physio team with bloods every week and a stress test at week six and 12.

It is actually quite good fun! 8-)
