I will be awl

Postby JanB » 16 Apr 2021, 19:04

It took me half an hour just to connect to the internet this evening, so I'm going to take the laptop in tomorrow morning.

That means I will be absent for a while. Just hope they don't take as long as last time  :cute:

Jan, a full scan with your AV and a declutter with CCleaner might help, but it could just be a slow Internet day outside of the lappy in which case it's wait and see. A full turnoff, unplug, plugin and reboot might also help.

Been there, done that, the weather doesn't help, but there is something nasty in there. Will take it in next week.

Spoke to a friend on Monday and he said he would come up later this week. He's pretty good at sorting stuff out.

Had massive, major problems wit hit yesterday, did a forced shut down a couple of times, as it just wouldn't even think about turning off or even turning on.

Gave up again this morning, but wowser, all perfect now

No idea how/why. Can only think some-one was messing about with the lines somewhere. We have fibre optic as far as a couple of kilometres away, just not connected to anything. Makes me think they were doing something with that.
