Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 20 Apr 2021, 05:26

Good morning.

Spanish sun and heat. 8-)

Usual 2 hours this morning then meeting up with my friend for coffee and a pitufo.

Work 4 - 7 then home to sweet and sour chicken from a Hairy Bikers recipe. I ordered their book online last month and my resident chef has been reading and making notes.

Have a good day.

Good morning Ally and anybody else who is up

The sun is out again. If the weather carries on like this there will soon be a hose pipe ban.

Alarm company is coming this morning to fit new control box, bell and box toreset the alarm. It is 25 years since it was originally fitted and have had two false
alarms, one just before Christmas and the other on Saturday afternoon when I was watching rugby.
Then more gardening this afternoon. The edge of the lawn needs trimming and weeds are growing again.
Have a good day everybody

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Lovely and warm already, but the wind is a little chilly

Coffee in bed again, could get used to this  But I've been out helping weed the gravel, almost done now and it looks so much better. And happy donkey's too

Ironing after breakfast, then rest my back. Not used to this bending over stuff, will have to toughen up again

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning you three, morning everyone

Ally - love the Hairy Bikers. Even their diet book recipes are tasty
Jan - make the most of the coffee in bed and take it easy today.
Cruiser - it has been very dry hasn't it. I had to water the pots in the garden yesterday. Good luck with the alarm company; hope they get everything sorted for you

I'm working from Karl and Nadine's today - both adults working and kids at school and they're expecting a delivery, allegedly between 10 and 1. So I got here just before 10 and about 10 minutes ago Nadine had a message to say the delivery would be between 2 and 3.... sigh. Oh well - I'm here now and may need to do an early school pick up so may as well hang around.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, it’s dampish out there but the sun seems to be making an effort to break through. Edward is already out on the terrace painting. I have a to-do list for the day, so I need to get on with it. First, tidy up after breakfast, make the bed and then get on with everything else.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Yesterday was quite hectic, what with phone and video calls and unexpected parcels I didn't stop all day. Bless her, Hannah knows I have to avoid chocolate so she sent me a huge M&S box of fruit, there's enough to last a family a week, goodness knows if we'll be able to get through it all. Lovely flowers from Z too. Apparently I'm expecting a delivery from M some time today.

It was well gone 3pm before we got out for our walk, so nice the wind had dropped and it was quite warm. We slept in longer this morning so I doubt we'll get out much earlier today.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Afternoon everyone :)

It's a beautiful day here. I took myself off into town, had a butcher's in Debenhams, which is staying open here until either the 16th of May, or the stock runs out - whichever is sooner. I got a lovely skirt for half price, but to be honest it was a rather depressing sight in there - almost empty rails, and most of the concessions gone already. It was our only department store here :? I sat outside Coffee#1 with a cuppa, then walked up to see D. Zumba tonight.

Love to all xxx

Evening, I’ve been intending to check in but keep getting interrupted.

John’s been in work today, he’s had a meeting with a contract draughtsman that he needs to employ from next month.

Kaz, Debenhams opened a big new store in Wolverhampton, it was only open for two years and was one of the first to close, early last year. It’s just reopened as Frasers, with the high end retail you’d expect from House of Fraser but with the likes of Sports Direct on site too.

Catch you all tomorrow x

Jo, our nearest department stores now will be the new John Lewis in Cheltenham, and the HoF - Cavendish House. I was disappointed in the John Lewis when I went in, it didn't seem to have anything much in there :?

Our Debenhams is going to be part of the University of Gloucestershire, classrooms for nursing students amongst others. I think it's a good use of the building, bringing young people into the city centre. The nearby coffee shops are thrilled
