We have us a thunderstorm....

And it's a beauty. Lots of thunder and lightning... and the hail and rain!

I love a storm and all the daylight in the dark! More forecast for tomorrow. :D :D :D

Report on the local news that a nine year old boy was killed in Blackpool after he was struck by lightning.

I like watching the lightning. When I was young, a tree came down afer it was sruck by lightning.

It arrived here about 10.45 pm. I thought we had a problem with the lights at first until I realised it was lightning outside; there was no thunder at first.
And as WM says, it was a beauty of a storm. We got massive hailstones - the garden was white over with them. You could see the garden as clear as day in the lightning flashes, and there were a lot of them.

I read that, so very sad :( the poor parents and also the kids and adults that were on the field with him and witnessed it

You'd have loved our house in South Africa, we could sit on the verandah in the front and watch the lightning from over the sea, make it's way towards us, go overhead - all accompanied by the warm rains. Some of the storms were quite fierce though and we'd have to run through the house and unplug everything that was plugged in

I quite enjoy watching a storm, as long as I am safely indoors.

I've literally just seen a news item about that little boy, how terribly sad and tragic
