Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 13 May 2021, 05:06

Good morning.

And it's whizzed round to Thursday again!! :o

Forecast hot and sunny. Yesterday's marathon walkathon with David along the coast was fab but it was a good job I'd slathered on the sun factor as I'd have fried.

Two classes this morning then meeting my friend for my usual coffee and pitufo. Today's will be scrambled egg and cheese.

Work 4 - 7 and will meet Don at Gambrinus for a couple of pre-weekend beers and a bite to eat.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely, sunny and warm morning 8-)

We had planned a bbq for later, but Heldar is still clearing the field next door and oh, dear me, the dust  so I'll have my cooking head on this morning. Favas for tonight and some for the freezer and a curry for Saturday.

Grumpy will be doing outside stuff, although he'll have to start planning the plans for a pergola for Chris and Lucy. I volunteered him yesterday

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

E's appointment went very well yesterday, apparently Mr.P couldn't stop smiling :D He's made an appointment for E to be seen again in 6 months, his right hip needs doing, it's not as bad as the left was, but it's not good and will continue to deteriorate so will need replacing sooner rather than later. E's being really pragmatic, obviously he'd rather not think about going through it all again, but he's happy to stay in the system rather than having to start all over again.

Up early again, it's going to be a busy day. E has an orthotics appointment in Canterbury this morning and I have a gynae appointment at our local hospital later this afternoon, it's all go. It's dull and overcast here at the moment, rain's forecast, just hope it stays away long enough to get to/from Canterbury, I hate driving in wet weather.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Hope all goes well for you both Jen xx

Change of plan again. Heldar is doing the field now, so he should finish far enough away, so bbq later it is 8-)

Morning all, it’s a lovely day here. Thursday so Michael and Kellie will be here later. In the meantime, we await the supermarket delivery. Bit of cleaning and tidying around, that’s it for today.

Morning everyone

Jen, good that Mr P is going full steam ahead with the other hip for E - I wish my mom had done the same, but it's now possibly a bit too late really. She did so well after the first replacement but is back to walking skew because her other hip isn't right. I'm so pleased for you and E that he's doing so well - yay. Good luck for both your appointments this afternoon

Osc, enjoy the day with the kids - definitely not nice weather here; its a very dull and drizzly day; and just not getting warm :(
Jan, glad you can get that BBQ in - you have such a short window for them.
Ally enjoy your day and please send some of that sunshine here
Saundra, what a perfect way to start the day :D thank goodness for video calls

Well, as said - rather miserable weather (well the garden is happy!) so indoor activities it'll be. The usual work with some cleaning in between. May also grab some of the plants in the greenhouse that need potting up and do that at the dining table, I've got a large old sheet I can put over so it should keep the mess confined. Just too cold outside. I feel so sorry for my nephew Thomas. He absolutely loves everything to do with airplanes and for his 18th birthday his parents gave him a 1 hour flight in a Cessna - there is a little private airport just up the road from them. Because Thomas has done quite a bit of gliding in the past the company said there would be a very good chance that the pilot would let Thomas take over the controls for a bit once up on the air. Said flight was booked for today and Thomas has been so so excited, but this morning the whole thing was cancelled because of the weather - as expected Thomas is rather disappointed. The flight has been rebooked for next Tuesday but still.....

Well, have a lovely day all and as always stay warm (or cool if it's Ally and Jan) and safe xxxx

good morning all.
It is a beautiful morning here.
I have to drop some more printing off for our daughter and we need a Sainsbury's run and a visit to the atm.
Have a nice day all.

Good morning, it’s grey here with showers forecast for most of the day.

Bill’s had his early walk, I’ll take him again shortly as long as the rain holds off.

Need to go to Argos in Walsall tonight. It was John’s mom’s birthday on Monday, which was why he went to see her, and she wanted a new patio set. We were going halves with his sister’s family but John took her to various places near to where she lives and they were all sold out but I found one at Argos, it wasn’t available for delivery in her area but Tom’s driving down to see her on Sunday so he can take it. Might go to Ikea while we’re nearby. I bought some new cutlery from there last week and I want some more knives.

Glad all went well for E, Jen! Hope you both get on okay at your appointments today x

Have a good day all :)

Good morning everybody.

Just got back from a check up on my eyes. Only got the phone call on Tuesday lunch time asking if I could go this morning.
Went to the clinic on the bus and back home by taxi.

The consultant I saw, a lovely lady I had seen before, sad the pressure in the eyes is still high. So I am now having to put another drop in each eye once a day.
She said she will see me in six weks to check on the pressure. She does not want me to have reduced visibility.
I am lucky being looked after like this. Worst part is waiting.
Now have some lunch and then pottering.

Have a good day everybody
