Afternoon all, it was lovely and sunny here earlier but is gradually clouding over. I went for my usual Friday walk with friends in cropped trousers and a short sleeved tee shirt - the wind was really cold on the pier! They were wearing jackets and one had a scarf on, so I was a bit underdressed  Just had my lunch, then I’ll be off to collect a kettle I ordered yesterday, ours is leaking, then onwards to another shop to buy some ribbon, some crochet patterns and maybe some yarn. Edward is playing golf, when he gets home he will be playing with his new toy, a coffee machine he ordered yesterday which was delivered this morning.

Good afternoon everybody.

The day started with the flager coming at 8.30 a.m to remove the flags from the front garden. Only got the phone call on Wednesday evening to say he was
coming on Friday. He told me the old flags and bricks would go to a crushing plant and recycled.

Then Virgin came to connect the cable from the box on the outside wall. I was without landline and internet for nearly three hours. While I dashed out for a paper,
a DPD driver came with a parcel. But he would not leave it as the front door was not open even though the flagger was working on the front garden. The
courie did come back this afternoon with the parcel.
Am waiting for an electrician to come and fit a new light in the kitchen. Said he would be here at lunch time. Hehas phoned to say he has to go to
Sothport before coming to me. So it may be after 5.00 p.m when he arrives.

Am also expecting a roofer to come as I want plastic verge fitting on pat of the roof of the extension.
Am now tiding up.
Norest for the wicked
