They played on; it was what his team wanted to do. Unfortunately the Danes then lost. but credit to them and the Finns for trying.

A very nasty business. Shades of Fabrice (?) Muamba who collapsed with cardiac arrest in a League game a few years back.
Eriksen was very, very lucky to be able to receive such prompt medical attention; it will finish his career of course, as it did Muamba.
