Something's out there....

Postby Workingman » 21 Jun 2021, 12:37

The Pentagon is about to release a report from a previously little known department "The UAP Task Force". It is using the British military title "Unidentified Aerial Phenomena" (UAP) for these incidents, probably because the old title "UFO" now carries so much baggage.

It is interesting because over the past few years the US Department of Defence has released some videos, mainly from navy pilots, showing these UAPs in action. There are also a few from commercial aircraft. Nobody knows what these things are, but they are real, and evidence suggests that they were not flocks of birds, a balloon, swamp gases or Lenticular clouds - they look like flying saucers. Those were the old descriptions to pass them off but don't work any more. No, they were craft of some sort and they fly and manoeuvre at incredible speeds.

The known laws of physics tend to point to them not being ET or his or her mates, but someone, somewhere, is making them. Somebody is spooked by them.

Most declassified documents show that many UAP sightings were secret military projects.

It is true that a lot of sightings are down to military of some sort, but more than a handful fall into the "unexplained" category and it will be interesting to se what the full report says about them - that is if the "full" report ever gets published.

I have my doubts.

The Russians have three hypersonic systems due to be delivered by 2022: Zircon; Dagger and Avanguard. They have confirmed capabilities of 6, 10 and 20 times the speed of sound. Two of them are point-to-point but one is said to be 'manoeuvrable', how much so is in doubt, atm. Turning something doling Mach 20 (~14,650 MPH) even in a gentle curve, would be some feat!

They appear to be well in the lead in these technologies, but who knows for sure?

That's the point. Why would they advertise unless the other side already has it? Unless, of course, you want to deter bullying!

Russia will have 25 corvettes capable of hitting all 12 US aircraft carrier groups over the horizon in ~10 minutes. It can hit anywhere in the US from its own soil in 20 minutes. A new arms race?

I would prefer ET, but conventional physics does not allow it. Wormholes, Branes, Warp 3, 4 or 5 are theoretically possibly, but the energy required to make them work is way beyond our capabilities and possibly beyond any civilization's capabilities. E = m c² and all that.

Dyson spheres, don't make me laugh.

Somebody is making these "unexplained" craft and we do not know who or what for. Maybe the US is trying to cover its own....

Interesting thoughts there.

For instance take the idea of sandy kidd and forced precession in a gyroscope.

Now put it in a vehicle (space we presume) and interesting things happen.

The reason reaction engines wont work on a spaceship, to take it past the speed of light, is because of the kinetic energy obtained by the ship you are trying to push. Your jet, or torch or whatever, is trying to "push" something with millions of times the potential energy it had when it started. Inertia is king and the action/reaction becomes nil, or so small that is consumed in a microsecond.

The forced precession gyroscope, on the other hand, has exactly the same inertia as the ship and has gained kinetic energy of the same amount. Therefore it can continue to push, or pull, the ship with the same energy as when it started. Granted the whole thing may need to be enormous and the actuators weighing tons, but it is possible (in theory).

In other words what happens when you add kinetic energy to a vessel going at the speed of light? We don't know.

But, following the same principles, perhaps someone else does. Gaining that knowledge could open up interesting avenues in science.

So, as you say wm, perhaps the US is trying CYA with a limited release of documents which have no answer except to the person or people who created the phenomena.

Do I think that we have been visited: it's unlikely?

Recently we have looked out to about 100+ light years for Earth 2.0 and have not found one even though we have found thousands of planets. If we look further the chances they have been here get less and less.

Reaction engines, kinetic energy. potential energy and (anti) inertia propulsion system do not work. We have tried some of them and they are way in the future. Even then they are not the answer to inter stellar travel. Essentially we are alone. Get used to it.

What we are ding here on Earth, well that's a different matter.
