People resort to violence quite readily nowadays.
The picture painted by the media is the we are a loving multi culti society, where black and white, gay and straight, old and young live lovely peaceful happy lives, all side by side.
It's the most dreadful rubbish.

The first one was a bit "handbags" by a group who all looked to be a bit worse for wear. Not acceptable, though.

The second is a clear case of Common Assault. OK, throwing the ice was unacceptable and wrong, but the resulting action was way OTT and could have ended up as ABH or GBH. The guard will, rightly, be out of a job and facing at least a big fine.

I was a teenager in the late 60s and early 70s and these things were common back then.

I few fists, an elbow, a knee, maybe a kick, everyone piling in to pull others off. Then back to normal as we didn't have cameras - forgotten about. It has always been there, but today it does seem to have more 'entertainment' value: 'Oh look, a bundle, where can I post that?' rather than trying to stop it.

I also despair.
