It looks to me like Galloway took just enough disaffected votes from the Tories for Labour to hold the seat. Had he only taken Solid core labour votes, I suspect the Tories might have taken it.

Labour down to 300 votes is not a loss for the Tories. Not in that seat. I doubt it will have them twitching.

The story locally is that Gorgeous George took very few votes from the Cons but he did take them from other parties, mainly Labour and the left.

And if a win is a win (Lab claim) then a loss is a loss. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Trying to understand where not winning a seat you don't already hold is a loss.

A Safe Labour seat at that. Or at least a seat which should be safe.
