Good Morning Thursday

Postby JanB » 19 Aug 2021, 04:13

Morning everyone

Dark and cool.

Rubbish night, couldn't get comfy then had a leak, so have had to take off most of the dressing and adapted as best I can.

We have to go to Beja Hospital to collect my jewelry, purse with all the cards in it and money  Considering we all knew I was going home, no-one bothered to collect my stuff and the office shut at 5.00 :cute: :cute:

So pop into the centro de saude first thing, then off to Beja it is. We need to borrow some money from Jose at the bar, for petrol, as Grumpy only has 5€ left  A little gentle shopping on the way back, for my tablets and food I might fancy.

Molly being a pain in the posterior, she's just bitten me too :cute:

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

I would love to rest Saundra, but the only person the hospital will give my belongings to is me

Just had another leak, so another clean up process  Think we need to sort out the first aid box

We had planned on doing nothing but rest for a few days, but hopefully after our trip out, we can. Although I have to go to the centro de saude tomorrow anyway, to have some of the staples/stitches out.

Morning everyone, Jan.

Hope you get the leaks sorted and then get some rest. What a faff having to go to Beja to get your stuff, but at least you know they are in safe hands.

The car failed its MOT, broken suspension spring, so am just off to take it for a repair then a retest. Do I sit and wait for it to be done or do I spend half the day in town window shopping? It's a three bus ride home then the same back if I want to leave it. I might leave it overnight and go collect it tomorrow, we'll see.

Pretty dull and damp but no rain in the forecast.

My thoughts are with Ally and the family today, peace and love to them all. xxx

To everyone else, have the best day you can.

Good morning everyone.

Jan, it's great to "see" you, we really missed you! Take it as easily as you can, gentle (((((hugs))))) xx

Ally and her family are very much in my thoughts today, love from all of us here on VV, dear Ally xxxx

Hope your car gets sorted Frank. I'd go off and window shop, given the choice xxx

Morning Saundra xxx

Shopping this morning, but not with D as she still has visitors :) I'll walk up to Sainsbury's, get the shopping, then Mick will come and pick me up. Pilates tonight, I did go to Zumba last night after all, so am hoping for another good weight loss on Saturday :)

Take care everyone xxx

Good morning everyone

Jan, hope you get things sorted as quick and comfortably as possible and that you can rest properly once all sorted
Sorry to hear re the car Frank - hope the repair isn't too expensive. My neighbour had the same issue with his car - it's all those speed bumps everywhere these days - the poor suspensions really take a knock each time you go over them, regardless how slow.
Saundra, hope you have a chilled relaxed day
Kaz, hope you too have a good day and get all the shopping sorted - say hi to Mick

Thoughts for Ally and family xx

a busy day for me - taking Thomas for his driving lesson and then back home and then back over to pick up Thomas to take him go-karting this evening. Nadine is working this morning and then doing a covid clinic shift this evening. Karl will be taking Amelia over towards the end of the clinic so she can get her first vaccination - she's the last of our little family here in the UK to have it and as we're hoping to go to Germany for Christmas it's good we can get her sorted before then.

Have a good day all x

Morning all, it’s grey and damp here, no rain at the moment though. We have a surprise walk planned for Michael and Kellie, who are with us for the day. We’re going to walk the South Wall which protrudes out into Dublin Bay, it’s quite exciting with ships passing really close by. We’ll drive there and see if they guess on the way. We’re going to bring a picnic, if worst comes to worst we can eat in the car. Then back here for the rest of the day and we’ll give them dinner.

Ally is very much on my mind today, it’ll be a hard day but I think the ritual can carry you through, plus the support of family, neighbours and friends which she has in abundance.

Morning all :D

Brighter today, hoping the sun comes out for M&M's last full day here.

Sorry you had a bad night Jan. Such a shame you have to rush around today, you really need to take it easy xx
Hope the repair isn't too expensive WM.
Osc enjoy the walk with Kellie and Michael.

Thinking of Ally and family xx

We had a lovely evening at The Greyhound, couldn't believe how busy it was for midweek. Lots of families having get togethers. We're going down to see their apartment later this afternoon, the photo's look lovely. Not sure where we're all eating tonight, M said something about an Italian, will have to wait and see.

Other than that, expecting a Sainsburys delivery between 1-2, just looked at their e-mail and it's all coming. The last two weeks we've only received half our order, all about shortages due to people being pinged. Interestingly Tesco don't seem to have been affected, just as well I split our order between the two of them each week.

Hope you all have a good day xx
