Good morning Wednesday

Postby meriad » 01 Sep 2021, 07:45

Merry morning everyone :D

coming up for 9am - can't believe I'm the first to post. Fed the neighbours cats and have been to Sainsbury's to get a few bits and bobs.... Now a few hours of work to be done and then heading out for a 2pm lunch to celebrate another friends 50th.

Weather is decidedly rubbish (again / still). Seriously looking at the long term forecast it doesn't look like it's going to improve much either - more and more pleased that I did book that summer holiday.

Have a lovely day everyone x

Morning Ria, morning everyone

Dull and grey morning and not going to get much better. Thunderstorms are forecast, but I don't think we'll get them. Up north is set to be hammered with them - lucky them

I slept in the new bedroom and slept much better - Molly permitting :cute: Grumpy was up and keeping quiet, as he knows I'm rather sleep deprived at the moment

I'm off on a jolly this morning :Hi: Jan has to take one of her boys for an appointment in the Algarve, so we«re going shopping too :Hi:

Grumpy has a list.....

Havae a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Grey and overcast here

Enjoy your jolly Jan, be careful not to overdo it xx

Noah starts senior school today, Z put some photo's on Fb, she's feeling extra emotional. It's frightening how fast the years have rolled by.

Well as you can see we were up at silly o'clock. The engineer is supposed to be here between 9-12 this morning, fingers tightly crossed he turns up as promised. Even better, he actually fixes it this time.

We could do with a few bits from town, but will have to wait and see how the day pans out. More Paralympic catch up later.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, it’s dull here but felt very humid while we were out with Bill.

I need to go shopping shortly. We need fruit. There’s just one peach on the fruit bowl. I ordered a couple of bags of apples last week but they were out of stock and the three bags of bananas deteriorated very quickly for some reason.

Not sure what else we’ll do today, we were going to look at cars as John’s PCP ends on this car next Spring but he can’t be bothered now  Maybe not everyone’s way of ‘buying’ a car but he (and most of his colleagues) opted out of the company car scheme and was instead given a wage increase to cover the cost of buying a car, on the understanding that cars must be under 3 years old.

Hope all goes well for a Noah, Jen! We saw Benjamin next door cycling off to school this morning. He’s starting secondary school today, he’s so little though and doesn’t look old enough.

Have a good day all :)

Good afternoon all.
Another rubbish day weather wise. Just grey and damp.
You are a good neighbour Ria.
Yes, don't overdo things Jan. Well done Grumpy for being quiet, Molly not quite so well done!

That did make me smile Jen.
Steady away with the ironing Osc, think of Italy.
Jo, John wants to get a new car before even more unwanted techy rubbish is ruled compulsory for them!
Morning Saundra!
I'm off now to pick MrsC up from her cousins.
Have a nice day all.

Afternoon everyone :)

Ria, a holiday gives you something to look forward to, it's not been the best of summers, has it?. :? Xx

Hope you got everything on Grumpy's list Jan :D  xx

Hope the engineer came on time Jen xx

Mick gets a car allowance too Jo, BT don't seem to have joined the dots, seeing as he works from home ;) I find the same about bananas recently, although we do get through them very quickly so shouldn't really get the chance :cute:  xx

Waves to Osc! :) xx

Casserole sounds a good idea Saundra, I think I'll be getting my slow cooker out soon! xx

Grey weather here too Crommers :cute: xx

I was out early on to meet J for a cuppa, then up to see D. Since getting home I've done a big pile of holiday ironing - we're off to Devon on Friday :D Zumba tonight. Harry had an interview in a shop that sells party supplies, but it's only a zero hour contract, so as he has an interview on Friday for Tesco he's going to hang on before accepting it....... He's also going back to college part time, and is enrolling tomorrow - core subjects again, to try to get better grades, so some VV vibes would be much appreciated please :)

Love to all xxx

No dishwasher engineer, more left hand/right hand nonsense between RSL and Kent Appliances. After a lot of wasted time I finally got to speak to someone and he won't be here until Monday 6th..........we can only hope!! Totally fed up with it all.
