So it was straight in the washer and dried on the line ready for winter
So glad I never threw it away

Saundra, I had one of those in our previous house, as it was a Victorian house, and draughty! Mine was called a slanket! Sleeved blanket, I suppose You'll be nice and snuggly in that

Well, given that you're driving down (I assume), it's better to pack too much and be prepared for all sorts of weather etc, vs regretting that you didn't pack that jumper / vest top

(as you may have gathered I'm no good at light packing either)
