Good Morning Friday

Postby JoM » 01 Oct 2021, 07:10

Good morning all, it’s sunny here after a wet start.

Saw Joe off to work just after 6, he’ll be driving down to Falmouth when he finishes at lunchtime so I’ll have to get my traffic report on the M6 and M5 ready for when he calls as he leaves work

The Tesco delivery is due between 9 and 10, I’ll walk Bill after that. There’s also an Amazon delivery due too.

Have a good day all :D

Morning Jo, morning everyone

Lovely sunny morning 8-)

And we have sheep bells ringing in our ears. There's a huge flock in a field nearby and they're on the move  Next doors dog going bonkers  which starts off the donkeys.....

Grumpy off to do an hours work in the ruin, clearing out as much as he can. I have the cleaning to do and I'm going to attempt the vacuuming. Although my hand is getting worse, so I'm going to stop putting the antihistamine on it. I got stung by a wasp on Wednesday and slapped a cut onion on it straightaway, which helped.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Ouch Jan! I’ve never heard of using onion for bites. I don’t want to tempt fate but I’ve only had three bites this year, I’m usually an all you can eat buffet for insects. I have one of those little electric zappers from Boots which helps a bit.

Good morning everybody.

It is raining again.

Going to have a booster jab this morning. Got an email and txt to say I could have one. Phoned up and was given the appointment for today.
Then some shopping and home for lunch.
I can remembermy father saying if you got stung by nettles rub the skin with a docl leaf. It seemed to work.
Have a good day everybody

Morning all, it’s a nice day here but definitely getting cooler. I’m having lunch with some of the gym ladies today, I’ve even put on makeup! I’m collecting two of them so they can have a glass of wine (or two ;) ) and the husband of one will come and bring them home. We are supposed to go dancing tonight but Edward’s back is sore and he says at the moment he wouldn’t be able for it so we shall see. The postman was here just after 8am with stuff I ordered yesterday from Holland & Barrett, and also a letter with an appointment for a Dexa scan in November. I find lavender oil is brilliant for bites and stings, lash it on as soon as you can and keep putting it on till the bite subsides.

In the five minutes it’s taken for me to go upstairs, put some washing in the airing cupboard, change my jeans and put my coat on to walk Bill it’s gone from sunshine to the heaviest rain.
That just sums up my day so far.
Tom’s winding me up and I’m going to have words with him tonight.
Bill’s got his anxious tummy because of routine changes over the last couple of days (me going out on Wednesday and the rain yesterday meant he didn’t get a walk).
Two loads of washing that I hung out to dry in the sun are now dripping wet.

Good morning everyone.
Raining here too, and none too warm.
I remember rubbing dock leafs on nettle stings. When I got stung by a was when I was six, my granny dabbed it with a cloth soaked in vinegar. She must have thought I was a chip.
I hope the chorus subsides soon Jan and that Bill gets his walk Jo. Tricky with all the rain about though. Poor Edward, vibes for his bad back.
We've had a tea delivery from Ringtons and will have a wine delivery soon. MrsC is off to Sainsbury's for the weekend shop.
Hopefully I'll manage to get out for a walk inbetween the showers.
Have a good day all.

Morning all :D

Wet and miserable here

I use hydrocortisone cream for bites Jan, usually does the trick.
Good luck with your booster jab Cruiser.
Hope Edwards back improves Osc.
Having a walk is a definite no no here Jo, it's absolutely hammering down.

Is it just me, have had to put the heating on late evening for the past two days? Usual washing and bed change day, more than enough to keep me busy. Expecting Sainsbury's between 1-2pm, the e-mail says it's all coming, just have to hope the driver doesn't run out of petrol.

Hope you all have a good day and stay dry xx

Not just you Jen, we've cracked as well!
It has been cold and wet here so we have given the heating a quick blast for the last few evenings.
