David Amess murdered today by knife. My thoughts are with his wife and children.

That being said, I wonder what they will do now? This sort of thing has to stop, punishment needs to fit the crime. He wasn't campaigning, he was just going about his normal work as a MP.

There is another concern here following this and Jo Cox: access to our MPs.

Many MPs hold surgeries in public places like libraries and community centres, not only in their offices, to make them available to a wider public. Mine certainly does. These could go with them only being seen behind a bullet proof glass screen in one fixed location with bouncers. Not good for democracy.

The gang culture which has been murdering its way through London and other inner cities is slowly infecting the country. They have been allowed to act this way.

They have the manpower, can cut through all sorts of red tape and if you attack the government of the country, it is automatically considered to be a threat of some kind instead of simply a murder.

In the US if a politician is murdered the FBI are usually involved for the same reasons.

Shocking news. He was a public servant going about his duty to his constituents. Very sad for his family and friends.
