Morning Ally, morning everyone

Another lovely morning 8-)

Off out with the "girls" as all four of us will be walking the two dogs this morning. Lucy and I will be lagging behind, but Jan and Chris can romp on ahead with the dogs.

Back for breakfast, no time this morning, I've been up for over an hour and haven't even had a cup of coffee yet  Water will have to keep me going

Will strip the bed and get the ashing machine on too.

And then read

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s a dull one here. Quite mild though.

I’m currently on hold - yet again - to the doctors to try and sort my Mom’s normal prescription. I ordered it last Monday, they called her on Thursday evening to say they were having problems with the system and couldn’t forward it to the pharmacy so would call when they’d managed to do so. They didn’t call her on Friday so I need to see if it’s gone through so I can collect it for her. It’s 1min 50 secs of blurb before you even get to the ‘press 1 for…press 2…’ menu and then there’s the worst hold music since Virgin used to play Coldplay while you waited ;)

If I ever get off the phone I’ve got some ironing to do, and I’ll hoover through too.

Have a good day all :)

Hope you get it sorted Saundra, apparently there’s a paper prescription waiting to be picked up and taken to the pharmacy as the usual one, which she gets on repeat, wouldn’t go through. I’ve asked them to try again.
I also asked about the Covid booster and they said they’re not getting involved in that and to check the Facebook page for the centre where it’s held locally for their walk ins or book online on the NHS page….which is great if you’re up to speed with the internet but not all elderly are and will be expecting a call from the surgery to book them in again as happened with the first two vaccinations.

I’ve also had to message my cousin’s son on Facebook. My Mom phoned on Saturday night to say that my Aunty Dor is in hospital. My cousin phoned her on Friday and she was really confused (and that’s not how she normally is, she’s very very on the ball and despite being in her 80s could easily pass for 20 years younger). My cousin lives in Norfolk so asked her son to go round to see how his Nan was and he found her the same so took her to A&E and she was admitted. Nothing showed in the tests done so far so the last we knew was that she was going to be having a scan, but my Mom’s tried calling my cousin since and she hasn’t picked up so it’s worrying.

Good afternoon everyone.
A grey and chilly day here.
I've been out in the car for a paper and to pick the prescriptions up. Six weeks without driving must be the longest I've gone i the last forty odd years.
Crikey Jo, that's a lot to be processing at once. I hope your Aunty Dor is ok but it does sound very worrying.
I know what you mean about the blurb on the phone, too!
Saundra, I'm gad you got sorted eventually.
In a while I'll go for my walk and do the exercises.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Enjoy your walks Ally and Jan.
I know how you feel about being put on hold Jo. Glad you got through in the end, hope mum's meds get sorted.
You too Saundra, hope they arrive today as promised.

The garden bin gets emptied tomorrow so need to get out to pick up more palm leaves, Nothing else planned, expecting a Tesco delivery between 1-2pm and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it’s not too bad a day here, sun, cloud and reasonably mild. I have so much to do, I don’t know where to start! It’s not great weather for drying as it’s a bit humid, so that’s not ideal as I try to do the holiday washing plus get summer clothes ready to put away. I was at the gym this morning and have done a couple of wash loads. Better get up off my backside and do a bit more.

Evening everyone :)

Usual Monday here, into town this morning to meet Em, then look round the shops. I did a load of washing before I went out, somehow there's suddenly loads more of it ;) No Zumba tonight.

Jo, I wonder if your aunty has a UTI? Very common in elderly ladies, they make them very confused, but areeasily treatable. Hopefully it's something easily sorted xxx

Love to all xxx
