Morning Ally, morning everyone

Stunning sunrise again and going to be another lovely warm day.

Ironing this morning and then need to think what to do with the remaining lamb. Might make fritters or something with it.

We met a neighbour yesterday, from the next village and he's got a cement mixer for sale, so it looks like we'll be buying that for Grumpy  Just need to arrange transport. Won't go in our car

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Ally and Jan, good morning everyone

Ally, glad you had a good time with the boys; the time has flown by.
Jan, what about shepherds pie? You can freeze that all ready made so all you need to do is pop it in the oven when you want to eat it. Happy Grumpy with his cement mixer. Karl has one that he borrows from work and he uses it loads. He used to have one that was given to him by a neighbour when they were moving but that only lasted a year or so (it was old); but it's definitely a piece of equipment Karl wouln't want to be without.

I had a lovely busy and productive weekend at the allotment and got quite a bit clearing up done to get things winter ready. Yesterday cleared the greenhouse and once everything has had a good sweep and pots emptied of their soil that'll be ready for next year as well. Today I'm going to have a first attempt at making crab apple jelly. Someone left loads out by the allotment so I got quite a few. But realised having a straining stand would make life a lot easier to strain the pulp; so ordered one off amazon, due for delivery today. And then if that all works fine then I'm going to try quince jelly as well - yum!

Oh, and regular work in between :D

Have a lovely day everyone xxx

I used a lot of garlic and rosemary in it Ria, as I'm not a lamb lover, so needed to disguise it   Not sure about a garlicky/rosemary shepherds pie

Morning all :)

Planning a trip to see J will be lovely Ally :) xx

I reckon a cement mixer will be handy for Grumpy Jan :) Mixing cement by hand is hard work, I've watched my dad and uncle do it :cute: I think a spicy shepherd's pie might be nice! xx

Sounds like you're really busy Ria :D Quince jelly - yum! 8-) xx

I have a day to myself today, no plans to meet anyone and D still has J and J staying until tonight 8-) I do have to drop a repeat prescription in to the GP's ( it's an occasional item, not on my online repeat) but otherwise the day's my lobster! :D xx

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Good morning all.
Grey here but not too cold.
I see Grumpy's got some work coming!
Like you Kaz, not too much on today.
Went to the gun club last night, the first time that i have been for a while.
It was nice to see them again and have a catch up.
Have a good day all.

Morning all, it’s quite bright but the air is damp. Edward has headed off to play golf. I’ve plenty to do here, then will collect him around 1.30 or so and we will go to Wicklow, staying two nights and minding Michael and Kellie tomorrow. We have booked to go to Wicklow Jail, a tourist spot near them and I think it’s been spooked up for Halloween, so that should be fun. They went to the cinema yesterday, great excitement as it was the first time in 22 months! Back home sometime on Thursday.

Morning all :D

Sunny here 8-)

It's half term for the schools. Lots of photo's of the boys here at the beach from 3 years and back on Fb memories. Those days seem such a long time ago, covid prevented it last year and of course they're much older now. Can't believe Zachery turned 17 in August :o

We're off to the cinema to see Dune this afternoon. The trailer looks good so we'll see.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Saundra, I'll be adding ginger and chilli to the quince (and also some of the crab apple) - that spices things up nicely
