Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 28 Oct 2021, 05:31

Good morning.

Sunny and warm again. 8-)

I'm off for a walk shortly.

Swim later then around 5 we're going to Gambrinus for a couple of early doors drinks and a bite to eat.

Have a great day.

Cripes Ally, you're up early!

Me too, the ear thing. Doing my head in laying on the wrong side.

A 'sort of' day here, dry with more sun than clouds, as they say - warmish, tho, 14 °C. Bikini weather - not.

Looking for a new clothes washer... the old one has started its own drum band when on the spin cycle, boob, boom, boom

Yup. 7am UK time is a bit early for VVers - more 10am or later. ;)

But we don't have pools to dip in, well, most of us don't.

Morning Ally, WM and everyone

Stunning sunrise again 8-)

We can tell when its colder at night, the cat stays in all night  Our last day of warmth until the middle of next week, as it's going to be rather wet, windy and down to 21C  Although warmer at night :o

Busy day today. Off to Ourique later, to catch Manuel, hopefully, so we can pay the insurances, then I have my squishing, do the Pingo run and then tonight we're picking up Chris and Lucy and we're off out for dinner :Hi:

And I must remember to ring my little brother, he's 64 today :Hi: Dear me, that looks scary, 64

Inbetween, I'll be making a curry for Saturday and Grumpy is going to clean the mozzie screens.

Happy washing machine hunting WM 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Oh, I forgot. The lady who wants the window is finally coming up this afternoon. She knows roughly where we are, so I'll be down at the bottom of the drive, flagging her down

That will pay for our dinner out

Morning all :)

I'm off to Sainsbury's in a bit, with D. We're going earlier than usual as she's having her flu jab at the pharmacy there. I'm expecting a delivery this afternoon, a skirt I ordered. Coming by Royal Mail, finally! I ordered it ten days ago, and when I tracked it yesterday they said they'd tried to deliver last Saturday, which is odd as there was no delivery note though the door :? No wonder people use Amazon so much  No Pilates tonight, as it's half-term.

Have a nice time at Gambrinus Ally :) xx

Hope your window lady finds you Jan :) xx

Give over Frank, 14°C is definitely bikini weather in Yorkshire! ;) xx

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all, it’s grey and windy here but quite mild.

I’m feeling a bit more normal this morning, hopefully the booster side effects are on their way out.

Feeling a bit shocked though. I often see our neighbour Sharon out with her dogs, she’s usually on her way out as I’m heading back. This morning it was her husband, Mark, walking them. He’s a lovely bloke but he looked a bit preoccupied and carried on walking after saying hello rather than stopping to chat like he’d usually do. Then he called me back, he told me that Sharon’s left him. He’s no idea why, she’s told him that there’s no one else but who knows. She had a dog grooming salon at home and she’s closed that down this week and started a mobile service, she’s changed her phone number and he can only contact her by email. Funnily enough me and John were only saying over the Summer that as friendly as she is, she gives off a strange vibe which made us both feel uncomfortable and we jokingly said that we wouldn’t be surprised if one day we realised we hadn’t seen Mark for a while and he was later found under the patio.

I need to get to Stafford today, it’s my brother in law’s birthday and I need something for him. I’ll probably go this afternoon.

Have a good day all xx

Oh, Jo, strange, isn't it?

Happened to our mates and n-d-ns. Martin just walked out one day, no third party, as far as we know, he'd just had enough. Left Liz and two kids and was never seen again. He'd been my co trainer at the u-10s football club and just vanished. He's never been back.

Hello everyone

Jo, glad you're feeling better and Crommers excellent news re the hip!
Ally, enjoy the celebratory pizza x
Jan, good idea avoiding your roads in torrential rain!
everyone else, hope you're getting done the bits planned / not planned :D

I'm in the office today - had a 10am client meeting so needed to be here for that; will aim to leave a bit earlier than normal because I need to pop into Joules before I catch the train to return some faulty wellibobs. There used to be a Joules in Guildford but it's closed so now the easiest for me is the one at Waterloo.

Nothing much exciting to report this end; so have a lovely day everyone xx
