I have had them adjusted by the optician but it has become a habit. It has become so bad that I have to take a pack of tissues with me wherever I go.

Haven't you got a little cleaning cloth in your specs case?

Frank, if you have a Lidl near you, they sell cleaning wipes for glasses and they're great.

Girls, the cleaning cloths and wipes are not the problem.... it's me sticking my greasy fingers on the lens as I push them up that I need to sort out. It is not even that the glasses are slipping off, that problem was sorted by the optician, t's the pushing them back up when they don't need it habit that needs breaking... or the removal of the offending finger.
