The ground staff have been round with chain saws and one of those machines for turning the cuttings into woodchips. Talk about a "haircut"! Shrubs that were twice as tall as a tall thing are now about chest height and we can walk the paths without being attacked by Triffids.

We were sat outside the bar earlier and noticed that we can only just see the house on top of the hill, as they agaves have shot up, since we had all that rain. Won't be cut down, or trimmed, which is a shame, as they can look really good, once the dead bits are cut off.
