It seems we have. Because we won't just open the doors and are pushing back, a pressure group is now raising court cases against the UK government for daring to block these illegal immigrants from trying to cross over into UK waters.

It is interesting to note how the media always, and I mean always, portrays mass illegal immigration as a "humanitarian crisis".
It isn't, in most cases.
The vast majority of the people wanting to leave the third world and come to the first world are economic immigrants. So it is primarily a criminal matter, because they have no right whatsoever to just jump off a dinghy and put their hands out. They have no legal right to be here; if there is a "humanitarian crisis" there own actions are causing it.
