Dinner tonight

Postby JanB » 22 Nov 2021, 19:23

Gammon steak

Not had one for years, but saw some in Iceland last week, on a special. Wouldn't have paid 8 euros otherwise, but 4€ I can cope with

Very nice, if a little more salty than we're used to. Saute potatoes, peas, he had a fried egg, I had onion sauce (only 2 years out of date, but it was okay  )

Masterchef we ain't

Iceland/waitrose Saundra. Wasn't as bad as we thought it might be.

I haven't cooked with salt for years, but since moving up here, I use it if necessary. But I steam all the veg, so add just a little sea salt when eating.

And on chips, of course

Oh I can’t eat potatoes in any form without salt, but never use it in cooking veg as Mick doesn’t use it at all. Chips without salt? :cute:

Tonight we shared Emmental and Asparagus Parcels from the freezer, accompanied by a baked tomato each and a tin of Waitrose Essentials baked beans.

It's sort of Use Up Tuesday! :D

We've had salmon, veg and rice. Simple to do; we've had Eliza today and couldn't be doing with a lot of faff tonight.
