Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 30 Nov 2021, 07:11

Good morning.

Warm and sunny. 8-)

Off for a walk then back to shower and walk into town for my 11am haircut appointment. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Dull and grey here, not cold, just cool

A day of doing not a lot. The washing machine can do the work, I'll just peg it out. A wander around the garden, pulling up weeds and maybe a trip down to the recycling centre (bar) later

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning you two; morning everyone :D

What a difference 8 degrees and no wind make    So much more pleasant today than it has been; not that it's going to last long though (apparently) Today will be another day of the usual / usual mix of pootling and work for me.

Ally, enjoy the walk and the haircut
Jan, enjoy the garden wander and the 'recycling centre' ;)

Huge excitement last night - I had a fox in my front garden. Admittedly nothing unusual for most homes; but because my garden is cat proofed it means once in it couldn't easily get out, cue a huge amount of bashing and crashing into things. I need to figure out where it got in because usually the netting would stop them so that's one of the things to do today. But I do wonder if, at one point, it tried to get into the house via the closed cat flap because the only way I knew it was there was when Eli came hurtling through the house and bolted right out the open cat flap in the back window; he was absolutely terrified so I got up to look and realised something was amiss.

Have a lovely day everyone x

I hope your chickens are secure Ria, believe me they can get in anywhere. When we had that fox, I read several times about people finding them in their kitchens where they had got in through cat flaps. I know you are probably thrilled to bits to have one, but please be careful of your girls :? :?

Morning all, it’s grey and dreary here but not quite as cold as the last few days. Edward has headed off to the golf course. I’ve to tidy around and make the place look vaguely nice, as I have my Howth tram interview this afternoon - I’ll be ready for my closeup ;) After that, it’ll be knitting as the rush is on to finish the cardi I am making for Kellie, I’ve started the sleeves and I hate knitting sleeves!

Thanks Shell - my girls are double locked at night; their enclosed run is shut and bolted and then their coop in said run is shut and locked as well. And whilst I do like foxes and think they are intelligent and fascinating creatures, I really don't want them in my garden because of the chickens ;-)

Good afternoon all.
No snow at all now, all gone.
Eliza is coming to sleep over tonight, her parents are going to a show tonight.
Must remember to changemy credit card on the Amazon account, they aren't taking Visa credit cards after Jan 19th.
Ria, watch out for foxy. Have to say, I don't like them at all.
Have a good day all.

I’ll say morning all but it’ll probably be after 12 when I click submit

We’ve had a lovely rise in temperatures through the night which has melted all of the ice, there’re just a few snow drifts to go now. It was lovely looking out this morning and finding that it wasn’t white over, and a relief that none of the men of the house had to drive through our icy estate first thing. The sun’s just come out too. Bill was happy to get out for his walk this morning, we didn’t make it out at all yesterday because the paths around from here to the gate onto the common were too icy.

I need to go supermarket shopping tonight. I couldn’t get my usual Friday morning delivery last week (I usually book the time slot in advance but it slipped my mind when I wasn’t feeling well) so had to settle for an 8pm one and so much stuff was out of stock - even milk, both semi skimmed and the whole milk I’d ordered for my parents. The plan was that I’d get what was missing on Saturday but of course the snow and ice out paid to that idea!

I hope you can find where it got in Ria x

Osc, is that something we’ll be able to see anywhere?

Have a good day all x

I’ve got to do that too Crommers, it’ll just be the debit card on there for me from now on as we only have a Visa credit card which I only use for more security on bigger purchases I make on there.

I don’t think so, it’s for an exhibition in a library, but if they send me the clip, I’ll be sure to share it ;)
