Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 06 Dec 2021, 07:14

Good morning.

Warm and sunny forecast. 8-)

I didn't do the tree after all yesterday....after I'd unpacked all the stuff I remembered I'd chucked away the lights last year.

Don went to a bazaar in Churriana and got some but by then I'd lost my decorations mojo so will do it today.

It's a national holiday which has affected Jacob's train times so he's now coming tomorrow evening. :?

Going for a walk then definitely staying in. We've been out and about all weekend.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely and sunny this morning, feels cool outside at the moment, but it will warm up nicely later.

Washing machine working away and we'll head down to the veg plot after breakfast, to tidy that up. Think we've lost some of the onions, no idea why, but maybe they'll come back.

Popping into Ourique this afternoon, to the post office. We got a registered thing for the nice neighbours and as they won't be here for another couple of weeks, I want to see if they'll keep it until then.

Pit stop at the bar on our way back - hence going in this afternoon and not this morning

Hope the poorly booster bods are feeling better this morning x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s pouring down here.

Bill had his walk before it started, it was a muddy one! I had a quick tidy around in the garden before the heavens opened, there were some empty terracotta pots which needed putting away so that’s a job done. I think now I might attempt to make some Christmas cards with the Cricut, I bought a pack from M&S at Knutsford services last night though in case I fail at making them

We had such a long journey back from Manchester yesterday. We got out of the stadium at 4, just as the shops were closing, and everywhere was jammed. It took us two hours to get from Old Trafford to the M6, a distance of around 18 miles, and that was by cutting out much of the traffic and taking a detour around the side streets of Moss Side (successful thanks to my map reading skills :D I’m so happy if I’ve got a map to look at, I do love a map  ). On the way up the entire journey, home to stadium took less than 90 minutes!

Al, I got off to a flying start with our decorations on Saturday. I’d bought a 3ft potted tree and 200 new lights from Tesco in the week and that was lit up and out by the front door before 9am, I put the wreath on the door then too…and that was it. I lost all motivation then. Really not feeling the Christmas spirit this year.

Have a good day all :D

Morning all, I’m feeling much better this morning, I just hope my feeling rotten means that the booster has invigorated my immune system! It’s bright but cold here and we have been warned that Storm Barra is on the way. I’m going to the gym this morning, and Michael and Kellie will be here for about an hour after school. Plenty of h/work to do and I need to do some more cards - I did a few yesterday but couldn’t really concentrate.

Jo, Edward says he can’t understand why they played so early - he’s watching the match now and wonders what you think about the new manager.

Morning all :)

Dull and overcast here

Hope the new lights work Ally.
We could do with some of your warmth here Jan.
Good for you with maps Jo, I can't manage without satnav.
Glad you're feeling better today Osc.
That's not good service from Morrisons Saundra, both Tesco and Sainsburys are very helpful. I always have a couple of trolley bags ready and they will help transfer the shopping for me.

Nothing exciting happening for us today, we're expecting a Tesco delivery between 1-2pm and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Well, that was erm, windy

Cleared the veg patch, now weed free, but the wind got up  and it was a cold wind. The sheets are horizontal on the washing line   I'll have to get a step ladder out to catch them

Glad you're feeling better Osc x

Good afternoon everybody.

It has rained very heavily this morning. I went to Matalan to pick up a parcel which I had ordered online.. They only opened at 9.00 a.m.
Then went to the Post Office in ASda which was near. The main PO in the centre of town has closed and is being moved to a new location.
Did some shoping so I will not have to go again till Thursday.

Got lots of ironing to do this afternoon.
The lights on the small tree I have in the window have failed. I think it is the transformer. Have put a spare set of lights on.
Have ordered a new transformer for the tree so hopefully the original lights willl work.
Have posted all my cards. Had to buy some more stamps. The new ones seem to have a bar code attached whcih will probably help the automatic sorting.
I want togo to Clitheroe but I will wait until the weather improves.
Have a good day everybody

Afternoon everyone :)

It's been a wet and blustery day here. Out early to get a few bits and pieces. Called into the cathedral to buy some cards in their shop, went and lit a candle and have a quiet moment - I generally do this just before Christmas every year. Then I met Em and a couple of the old WW group helpers in M&S, for lunch. B was in town picking up some stuff for Noodle's vivarium, so she joined us a bit later.

Sausage pasta and garlic bread for dinner. No zumba, it's too wet and cold out there and I'm still a bit tired. Like Osc, I'm hoping this big kick from the booster means it's doing its job properly 8-)

Take care all xxx

We assumed it was going to be on Sky, because 2pm kick offs on Sundays usually are but it wasn’t televised at all. The match v Arsenal on Thursday night was 8.15. We’ve decided to give the last Champions League game on Wednesday night a miss, we’ve qualified for the knock out stage anyway.
I’d love a Saturday 3pm kick off!

I’ll PM you later, just cooking tea
