Sunny and forecast 21 degrees....think it's going to be a very short winter.

Meeting my friend Fin in the plaza for coffee and cake at 11.30.

I'll pop to Mercadona after that and stock up on some goodies for Jacob's arrival later.

I'm heading out shortly - Nuffield Hospital to have a scan done on my hand, then a quick pop into Tesco for a few bits and bob. Then back home and then midday out again to pick up Thomas from college. So a busy but rather unexciting day

Morning all, it’s dull and breezy here and just starting to rain. It’s bitterly cold too, there was a lot of ice on our walk this morning. Even the pool is frozen in parts.

Just having a quick hoover around and then I’ll make some more cards. There’s an Amazon delivery due today too but they don’t tend to come until late afternoon.

Morning all, we are in an orange level warning area for Storm Barra and woke to strong winds and rain hammering against the window, so needless to say we didn’t hurry out of bed. About 30 minutes ago there was a huge cloudburst, you wouldn’t have been able to drive in it, and there was a flood running down the far side of the street, almost reaching the middle. Then the rain stopped, although it is still very windy - hopefully the worst is over, we go from orange to yellow warning level at 1pm. We had planned to go Christmas shopping but changed that plan last night. I suppose I’ll have to do housework so I finished and posted overseas cards yesterday, the postage is now €2 There is knitting to be done and snooker to watch.

My hospital appointment isn't until 5.45pm. I'm still having problems so not feeling optimistic. Also not looking forward to being out so late, the forecast is lashing rain and high winds from mid afternoon.

Just brought some gnome Xmas cards they seem the in thing this Xmas remind me of a holiday in Norway

Good afternoon all.
Here it is one of those days when it never seems to get properly light.
The wind and rain is picking up and it is cold too.
We have been to Aldi and B&M and I have been to the farm to get some eggs.
Looking at the weather outside now, I think that's it for the day.
