Little bit disappointing

The restaurant we wanted to go to was closed tonight, for some reason. Never known them close before So we went to the Belinha, where we normally get fast service and lovely food.

The place was rammed, new waitress, we waited half an hour before we even got the bread, olives and wine. Meal arrived. Salad first, then the meats and eventually, the chips. And the meat was no where near as good as it normally is. By that time, 8.45, too late for me to eat, Gladys isn't a fan so I had to leave most of it. I would normally bring it home with me, but too fatty

So we thought we'd have coffee and brandy on the way home. The bar was shut

And the waitress made it worse by spraying and cleaning the table in front of us, when the diners had gone Good on here for cleaning it and the chairs, but not when we're eating, please

But the couple to the side of us Held hands over the table, when they were not feeding each other or stroking each others hands. She'd cry, he'd let her, then put some food on her plate and feed her. They ordered coffee and one dessert. He drank the coffee, she fed him the dessert

Why is it that Portugal always seem to have a Spanish ref and England seem to have a German ref?

The ref last night was shocking

Stood in the shower and the water was getting colder and colder, not hotter and hotter.

Grumpy turned the twiddly bit up, went to have his shower and got out

Looks like our water heater is on it's last legs

I rang Hugo, our gas man, and he's going to ask the replacement gas man to come and have a look. Hopefully this afternoon.

As I'm out, Grumpy will be left holding the fort. And money
