Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 05 Jan 2022, 07:08

Good morning.

Forecast lovely again. 8-)

My walk shortly.

Meeting up with friends for lunch. It's the Eve of Kings which means the parades start at 5pm. ;)

The children will leave their shoes outside their front doors tonight and if they've been good Papa Noel will leave gifts. :?

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Enjoy the lunch Ally and also the parades. Also, when you say the kids leave shoes outside the front door, outside the actual front door of the house or their bedroom doors? Where are the gifts left? Just picturing this - in South Africa Santa would have a field day collecting gifts vs leaving them

Well another usual / usual for me. Yesterday ended up being a bit of a rush day; I was meant to pick up Thomas from college at 12.30 but Nadine called just before 10 asking if I could go straight away as his lectures had all been cancelled; not enough staff :o (not sure if he'll be going in today but I'll be on standby just in case). Then when I got home I ended up spending just under an hour with a chap buying my old TV, he'd bought three 2nd hand for someone else previously and all either failed after a week or so or didn't work so he wanted to test this one; which I totally understand. Just struggled to get the darn thing tuned, for some reason it picked up the BBC channels and loads of others just fine but nothing to do with ITV or Channel 4; so we're hoping it'll sort itself out - if not I've agreed that he can return it by the end of the week and I'll give him the money back. It's for an elderly disabled man who doesn't have a lot of money and I'd feel terrible if I sold him a dud.

Hope you all have a lovely day - promising to be a rather very nippy one here so stay warm everyone x

Morning all, it’s cold and bright here and we’ve had a light dusting over snow.

Bill’s just had a long walk, John and Tom have gone to work (as for John though I’m not sure how long he’ll be in work for, he had to go on a site visit yesterday and just before he got to the site two of his colleagues had left after positive LFTs, one of the men was who he’d gone to see). I’m now wondering if Joe will have the same problem as Thomas with college today Ria.

The washing machine’s on so that load needs to be dried and I want to have a general clean up seeing as everyone else is out for the first time in a week

Have a good day all :D

Morning all :D

Nice and bright here.

Sorted all the decs yesterday, they're all nicely packed away in boxes ready for next Christmas. Just got to get it all out in the garage.

We're up at silly o'clock, dentist appointments this morning, not my favourite thing. Wonder what she'll say about the tooth that caused so much problem back at the end of Oct. At the time she said it would have to come out, but it hasn't bothered me at all since she gave me antibiotics, will have to see what she says today.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, it’s bright and sunny but very cold, currently 3 degrees. Michael and Kellie are due to arrive soon, so they will help us take down down the tree and pack everything away. They’ll keep us busy for the day!

And Jose Felipe is coming up this afternoon, to sort out the leak on our roof :Hi:

No gossip, as Jose was in the bar
